Wasn't talking about just u I'm talking about in general. I asked one question awhile back and instead of the question being answered a bunch of douchebags told me how I should and shouldn't spend my money when the money had nothing to do with the question. So im not pin pointing one conversation I'm just saying the truth. Ya u might get one or 2 awsome people that will help u out other than that shit gets negative quick status.

I can get HPS,MH. and T5s at home depot. the LED light bulbs they sell are only a little better that CFLs. COBs can only be bought online and require skills to put together. I think HIDs and florescents are going to be with us for some time

Fully assembled, highly efficient, well designed and supported growing lights are advertised right here. Most here have used dated HIDs of all sorts. Sure, some will use the old yellow street lights but leds have spread beyond first adopters and are gaining new fans each day. Much more efficient, much better spectrum, much lower maintenance and no bulb replacement making better buds and increasing yield.

I hunted with a recurve bow, shot black powder, fished with a cane pole and bamboo fly rod. I fished bass with glass rods and agate guides. My old truck had a manual choke and nylon tires that thumped when cold. I flew on a DC3 and rode horses, mowed grass with a reel type mower and shoveled coal at 2:00am. I grew with HPS and fluorescents. New ways have rendered all this stuff novelties at best.

COBs really are that much better.

With so much light, all my leaves are smaller while growing under LEDS. Although I still have massive leaves on the edge near the walls, its so evident that the leaves on the edges are double/triple the size in some cases.
Its amazing.

can you dim everything down ? sounds like too much light or you need to try co2 around 1500-01600 ppm

Hello, I have 40W 57V driver and I want to put one Citizen COB on that, but the LED is rated for 38V max. That means it is not safe to use it that way right? I have a good heatsink up to 150W of heat. Thank you

That's correct. Way too much voltage. You'd blow it. When did they switch drivers from forward current/amperage to voltage?

the cob is well with in the voltage range of 29-57v it would work just fine, but it only pumps .7 amps.
if it was me i would probably by a bigger Citi cob or a Vero with the higher voltage, both come in roughly 50 volts, to get the most out of the driver

Thank you I will save up on the 1825 it is rated for 56V. That way I will use all the power. Thank you all for insights! Happy growing! :leaf:

No, why would I want to dim? I thought this was a good thing/indicator that my plants getting plenty.
Smaller leaves = a lot more bud sites getting light right? The leaves may be smaller on average in total, but the stems are thick still.
