Legal Growing Vert Ideas

I just found out that i could transfer my job back to Colorado this summer. Finally...
So im curious what you guys thing about a legal grow. Im looking to just grow for me. I consume roughly 32 grams per week.

So here are some restrictions
3 plant flowering limit.
Keep it vertical.
Perpetual set up.
1 bed apt/studio apt.

In my head im thinking a 3 plant 15 gallon Rols No till set up. 5x5 tent, 1000 watt barebulb. Would proly need a solid 8 week veg with some training to maximize canopy.

15 gallon fabric pot with Recycled Organic Living Soil using the "no Till method". Tea brewer, and a worm farm for my own ewc top dressings/teas.

Well then id say rock on! That sounds good to me but i hate the thought of barebulb in a 5x5. You want some kick out of a light? Try this. These new double ended bulbs cover 5x7 just fine and will give you 2+ gpw if you know what your doing. Their called digimax double ended made by sunlight supply. And even a hack like me can 1.5lbs a light off of them in my sleep.

Even three feet from the top of the canopy! But their a little more spendy....but worth it ;)
The slogan should read, "making hacks look good 12 hrs a day" ;)

a 1000 watt barebulb will be cooler in a 5x5 tent then with that big metal hood. Nope, no hoods for me. If i could id do just a 600. Just not sure I can veg 3 plants and bloom them with a 600 and get 4 zips dry/ plant. thats 336g per harvest. with a 600 watt light you would think it would be possible if you just ran at over .6 g/watt. with a good dialed in set up at 1g/w id only need a 400 in say a 3x3 room.

im figuring 28 grams / week 12 weeks till smokeable per harvest (8 to bloom 1 dry 3 cure) maybe i can do a

He wants a vertical grow, so overhead fixtures aren't the ideal solution.

Bad news first; with only six plants and using soil, you'll need to stagger your plants three weeks apart to get enough veg time. Even then, I'm assuming you'll be buying rooted clones that are already of a decent size.

Good news; hang a 600W bulb vertically inside a trellis between three and four feet in diameter and it will definitely grow at least three plants to produce your stated goal.

You'll need a separate veg area, and you'll want them to grow nice n tall in there before putting them into bloom.

I see nothing basically wrong with your approach, however.

When you get back here to Colorado, hit me up and we'll burn one! Or three!

Ahhh....good point. I guess i missed that point, and even in the vertical growing section. How many gpw can you pull from a vertical grow with one one K light?
I'm working with two lamps in a somewhat bigger setup I call my Super Silo. My best is almost seven from one of these.

proly not clones. Im one of those people that just grows the same 2 or 3 strains. just do clones from clones. Ive smoked enough bud to know what i like. So a 5x5 tent for bloom (4x4 would make me happier) the 600 light, a A-51led for veg in a 2x2 tent, 8-9 weeks veg from a rooted clone in a dixie cup.

Yes we will have to burn one lr more like 3 lol. You can show me this super silo. Are you talking 7g/watt?

Dont get me wrong, i could easily hit my goals with a 400 watt light if plant numbers weren't an issue. I do 2 zips per plant per week with a 8 plant donut 600 watt bare. But not exactly legal. lol

why are you fellas still prattling on about GPW. It is a nonesense unless you factor in the cost of vegging. Give me enough veg time and I will smash 2 gpw easy.

GPW = dried product / kwh applied, not dried product / wattage of bulbs.

There is a big difference betweem the two.

Cheers to MrMeanGreen for adding nothing to this thread.
Let me change up something here.

Harvest needed per year
1680g/60oz/3.75lbs

$0.11/ kwh for a 1000 watt light will run me $40/ month in electricity.

Harvested plants/Bloom time per year 3 plant bloom limit. yearly cost/1k hps
18 plants 360 days 282g/room 94g/plant $440
15 plants 300 days 336g/room 112g/plant $400
12 plants 240 days 420g/room 140g/plant $320
9 plants 180 days 561g/room 187g/plant $240
6 plants 120 days 840g/room 280g/plant $160
3 plants 60 days 1680g/room 560g/plant $80

Im fluid on everything. Be the river. So Naturally all those numbers change on lights. When i look at numbers it looks like i should get a 1k light 2 harvests/year. however 280g per plant (or 10 oz) would require some good size plants. Like what tty is doing with his Silos.
But the numbers also show that with 3 harvest thats 6.6 oz per plant is only 561g per room. Now i could do a 600 watt light (less/month smaller footprint) and as long s im right in that 1g/w range (easy enough for the light but now its plant numbers).

Take a look. I only want to grow enough for me to smoke. Only 2 lights. If i could pick one id do the 9 plant 600 watt version. then i could throw a round in to make nothing but concentrates if i wanted. and call it a year. Like for the 3-4 summer months. Electricity goes up, heat goes up.
