Legal status of giving seeds away

Hey all,

Just curious is anyone knows of a link to where we can find any legal information on giving away seeds. In face-to-face or mailing situation.

We're hesitant to email the state cannabis commission with a question, but that's where we're heading.

This is not for selling seeds, but rather to pass them off to others, so they don't expire during long-term storage.

Thanks!

If you are giving less than an ounce at a time to folks within Massachusetts for no compensation, you should be fine.

Might want to post this on the Boston trees reddit

Thanks @Palmerrdgrower I've found some information about seed limits which is really interesting. Like some parts of the US limit seed quantity to the amount needed to raise the total legal plant limit (e.g. 12 seeds for 12 plants). But I haven't seen anything about that for our area. It looks seeds count as plant and thus we can privately gift an ounce of seeds to someone. Haven't found anything to suggest mailing within or outside our state would be allowed.
