legislation ruined RYO tobacco

Provisions tacked onto a federal interstate transportation bill forced my favorite tobacco store out of business. Big Tobacco was behind it. Retail tobacco stores had to discontinue allowing customers to use on premises cigarette rolling machines. These machines were the main revenue for my favorite tobacco store.
I do not object to the "sin" tax I pay for tobacco. I recognize that tobacco is a public health problem. I'd rather be taxed for tobacco than pay more sales or property tax. But I think it's a crying shame that little Mom & Pop stores got run out of business by legislation influenced by corporate lobbyists. These fuckers are not going to be satisfied until everyone derives their income from the government or Big Business.
My source of roll your own tobacco is now Bugler brand. Thankfully I can buy it from a small local general store instead of Walmart. It costs me $30 for 6.5 ounces. I used to buy from the tobacco store at $16 for 8 ounces and they would mix from three different tobaccos in any proportion requested. The store bought their tobacco in bulk. When the federal legislation took effect the store had to buy their supply in 8 ounce retail packages. They still got wholesale pricing, but their cost went up and that was another reason they had to close their doors.
