I read earlier in your post that you turned off the aerogarden pump to provent root rot Im wondering why im supposed to turn it off it seems to be helping.. I only fill my aerogarden about half full so my sponges don't seem to be over wet no mold or anything..but even if I did turn it off the air stone would still bubble the water and wet the sponges...So my main question is how does an aerogarden pump/airstone harm but the airstone and pump i got from the hydro store is helpful?
If you have an Aerogarden with a water pump that runs water directly on the sponges, it becomes a problem as the stems will stay saturated and attract mold and what not. The airstone is not what you want to turn off. If you AG only has an airstone, then you're good to go. No worries.

I should have just posted herr in the first place instead of making my own thread! thanks for the airstone advice. just another quick question, is 2 7inche airstones and the ag one enough?

That's plenty. I used three 5" stones, but my AG didn't have one with it.

Such a bittersweet day!
I feel great I can harvest something, but saddened and disappointed by "what could have been", if I hadn't fucked up the grow :dunce:

That said, it still came out quite nice! The main cola of the biggest plant is in Pic 5 :bigjoint:
I know its a bit leafy, but I didn't wanna just start hackin' away at the poor thing!
Anyway, I look forward to weighing and smoking it a few days from now!

(side note: If I put light/heat to it in the jars...will it dry/cure faster?)

From what i understand you dont wanna rush you're cure. It will take weeks to cure.

I am assuming you let them hang dry for a few days. After that you want to cut them up into buds and place them into the jar and seal it. Burping the jar like everyday so you dont create mold. Place the jars in a dark place.

That is what i am planning to do anyhow.

Looks good!

Definitely don't wanna put light or heat near your jars during the curing process. That's a very important time.

weeks?:cuss:I was thinking more like a few days...

I actually just cut-trimmed and then dropped em into jars. Forgot about the whole hanging thing :wall: (this all happened last night, btw)

Open at day, closed at night...I'll be doing that :)

Your dry should take a few days, either hang them, or put them on a rack over a tub and dry them. Once they have dried for a few days, then put them in jars. If they are too wet, you can get mold, and then loose all of your work. Just a suggestion though. Curing, is not drying. You can smoke when dry, curing will help mellow them and make the flovors really come out. Good luck, the buds look nice!

Got just under an Ounce dried....not too bad, considering the poor state of the two surviving plants throughout the grow!

:)
