LEP lighting

So far from what Ive gathered, these are extremely powerful lighting steps. They seem to be most useful in Vegetative applications since they produce a lower red. But when they are used in conjunction with HID/HPS/etc... they're potential is maximized by combining the High reds of HPS and the intensity of LEP which also provides UVA and UVB also causing increased levels of flavonoids, essential oils and terpenoids in many different strains.

Also: Longer lifespan, quite, stable spectrum with very low levels of infrared and a high CRI of 94.

So what are your thoughts?

Ya around $1249, Gavita Pro 300 41.02 setup (Growershouse.com). The 270 is $959. Each series has a 41.01 and a 41.02 The 41.02 (300) is capable of 5600k, UVB and IR, also it is designed for all stages of growth. 41.01 more "blue" and used as supplemental HPS light for flower and straight veg. 270 series 41.01 supplemental, 270 series 41.02 veg only.

The price isn't the issue really.. I mean they last way longer than HPS bulbs and the setups are about the same in price.. So in the long run you would break even or pay a bit more. The issue is more of how to apply them and how well they "actually" perform....

Veg only 41.02

My outdoor summer babies are under it now. Really nice light. Loving the color of the light. It's really nice to go into the room and there's no noise, just a nice pure light :)

Kevin Jodrey is a large scale propagator who uses induction lighting. The UVB lighting you get hardens the plants and increases the levels of Chloroplasts to be thicker to better accept the sunlight. He says that during each propagation year he puts all of his Veg plants outside for about a month in organic natural mediums. He says that FULL spectrum (Sun light) is unmatched and allows him to recirculate strains over and over again. That the genetics can be held and the 100th cut plants grow just as good as the first cut plants.
