Its cause in the dark period their nutes go back into the roots, and when the light comes on the nutes start going back up to the leaves. You chop em b4 the light comes on so that they cure a smoother burn with less nutes than you would if you chopped em when the light came on
correct, there is science too back it up

During the dark period the plant will use stored starches in the leaves for energy during darkness.These starches are responsible for harshness in the finished product.Its not " nutes" though lol.

Perhaps I will give this a try! Take a plant in the morning just before lights on, take another just before lights out and see. An interesting and easy test!
