+1 to that. I am always very careful these days when showing weed expertise.

I occasionally hear the "dro" thing go around. It is usually thrown around in the harder neighborhoods in my city, of which I live in one. I had a big argument with a guy outside of the liquor store down the street who was trying to sell me some "dro" just a couple weeks ago. I have always thought it was just a marketing buzzword, as many people think that hydroponically grown cannabis magically has 5X as much THC.

However, for a long time, I used to go through two guys to buy my smokables. One of them always had every detail on the bag. "Oh, well this is a Northern Lights/Super Silver Haze Cross which was also crossed back with Big Bud for some good bud structure. It was grown hydroponically and has a 6 week-cure." His weed was pretty good. It never smoked quite as well as it looked. It was expensive.

Then, I had my other guy. If you asked him what his shit was, he would respong with "Oh, this is marijuana. It is the dried flowers of the cannabis plant" in a smartass fashion. This guys shit was not as expensive, and was always super-uber dank. He blew the other guy out of the water.

So, whenever I hear someone trying to give me some hyped-up desciptions, i feel like they have something to hide. If they tell me the strain, that's fine. I don't need to know the plant's life story. They fucking lie all the time, anyway.

One thing that I hate is how people (in my area) misuse the term "headies". It used to be that when a haze, or some good Sativa came around, people would call it "headies", because of the high it produced. It was always more expensive (60 an 1/8th instead of the usual market price of 50) because of the nature of the plant (smaller yield, longer flower). Now, I hear people throw it around for any good smoke. I had a guy try to sell me some "headies" last week for 60, and it turned out that it was Northern Lights. The shit was beautiful; but I told him that I would only think about paying those prices for something that was actually "heady". Street marketing is a terrible thing.

Dro is any weed grown in a hydroponic system. its funny people think that dro is some strong ass shit when it really depends on what strain is grown in a hydroponic system. if you grow weak shit in it its gonna be weak.
