Liberty Haze, Tangerine Dream, Blue Widow, Cali Hash Plant 3rd week in flower, 600w

Hello! I thought I'd upload some pics of the girls, and get some input on my tent setup. Right now I've got 4 plants under 600w HPS. The strains are Liberty Haze, Tangerine Dream, Blue Widow, and California Hash Plant. Grow in soil with mostly organic nutes with a little extra goodies here and there. They're in their 3rd week of flower and lookin pretty good!

Right now I have my carbon filter exhausting out the top of the tent with a 440 cfm fan. The light hood has a 220 cfm pullin air from outside the tent and through to the other side.

1. Would the light run cooler if I ran the 440 cfm fan and carbon filter through the hood as well, or is my current setup more efficient? Temps run about 77-80 right now.

2. Would a 1000w light even be feasible, or would the heat be too difficult to control?

2. In the pictures you can see the two CFL fixtures I have. They run 4 CFL's each, 200w total. Would it be a waste of time and cool air to put them at the bottom of the tent for extra light, or would there be a noticeable difference? They do run slightly warm for CFL's.

I think that is about it for now, thanks in advance for your time.

the CFLs would help though they will increase temps a bit, and no i wouldnt put 1k in if you cant keep the temps at 77-82 (farenheit) anything higher and i would say its too much

Yea that's kinda what I was thinkin, but I've heard its possible. Some people have 1k's in 4x4x6.5 without any probs. I might give the Cfl's a try though and see how that works out

Nameless, Nice setup! Thanks for posting lots of pics of your hood/fan/filter area. If you switch it up, post back which one you think is best.

No prob and thanks! The more I think about it, the more I like the setup I've got. Plus I dont like the idea of trying to rig that carbon filter to the hood cause that thing weighs like 25 lbs haha. But I do have an extra 220 cfm fan that I might add to the hood inline so I have one at the entrance and exit. Might bring the temps down a bit.

Amazing ladies you have there! I just started my first grow in a 4x4 tent and looking at your filter/hood/fan area the setup looks a lot easier than what I did by just putting moving the top bars! Really want to see those ladies grow!
