nice set up man, plants look nice, i would try and move the lights closer though, cfls can literally be about 3 inches from the plants

Thanks man. Well I feel ya on the light distance, but I figure since they're higher up, it'll make the plants stretch a bit, and since I'm LSTing them, it'll be okay for me to do that. Or would the lights being closer make them grow faster as well?

hey man, did you end up buying that panel? if not yet, this code is supposed to drop it down to $100 + shipping on their website: LB45 - they gave me a flyer with this code on it for a discount at an indoor gardening expo, it says it expires at the end of this month, hope it helps!

Yeah I bought it earlier this week from Amazon with free shipping so I should get it next week. 120 bucks but I appreciate the lookout with the coupon code. I think that's a good sign that the company was at an expo btw.

yeah i thought so too, it was cool because i could talk with them face to face and ask questions. at one point one of the sales reps turned to me and said, "are you prop 215 compliant?" ..."yes sir i am" i replied, he then brought out an iphone and started going through pictures of his own grow =) they looked nice man, the colas were pretty phat and thick, he said, if i recall correctly, he used 2 90 watt ufos from sunshinesystems on top, then had 4 or 6 of the glowpanel 45 lamps hanging vertically on the wall for side lighting.

i thought it was pretty awesome to have them right there, showing me first hand what they were able to grow haha

hahahahah nice!!! thats awesome. hopefully only one panel will do, because thats all the room i got. unless i put them sideways. but that will be for my next grow, assuming this grow will pay for it haha. the panels are 12"x12", and i re-measured my cabinet. its 13.5" wide and 14" deep. so that'll be perfect. i think i'll let my CFL's stay on, so whatever gap there is between the panel in the wall gets filled up with light. but we'll see when i actually get the panel in the mail... should be sometime this upcoming week. but heres a picture i took about 20 minutes ago. the leaves are sagging slightly but thats because they needed to be fed, which i just finished up doing so by later today the leaves should be more perky.

Thanks everyone for the complements and support! I really appreciate it. I'm super excited for when I start flowering. Though my room is really starting to smell like marijuana, idk what I'm gonna do. With my cfls I have a combined wattage of 700w. I actually just got my led panel I ordered. Came in the mail yesterday so I set up real quick. I fed them after and took a picture so we'll see if it works or not. I bought it on Amazon so I'll take it back if it doesn't perform the way I expect it to. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

alright heres a quick little update, included with pics..

so i set the led panel up and it seems to be working with pretty good success. i didnt give it enough time by itself so i could see a difference in grow speed, because i threw some cfl's in with the led's. i think im happy with it to justify keeping it, because it drastically lowers the heat in the cabinet. and its perfect for my setup since i continue running this cabinet for future grows. i cant afford to increase the size of the cabinet without ruining my stealth factor. thats why i will continue to LST the plants until the wrap around the pots completely 1 time, before putting them into flowering. i still have YET to figure out genders though, and its bothering me because this cabinet isnt meant for 9 plants. i have NOT been able to find any preflowers on any of them yet. and they're about 5-6 weeks old. they may still be too young. any suggestions? anyway, here are the pics!

sweet man! hope this helps accelerate growth a bit...hope you get some pre flowers too soon, i'm in the same boat waiting on several to start showing me what sex they are, wait wait wait!!

i have a question about your panel, is there a pass thru electrical plug on one side? the previous generation didn't have these but the newest version does, makes it handy for daisy chaining a few panels together, i suppose you could plug a cfl or fan or something into it as well

thanks man. i just got home from being out all day and damn they grew a lot. a bit droopy though because they needed to be fed, hence why im not posting up a picture but they've grown a lot since the last pic i put on here. the LED totally eliminated the big cfls as well as all the heat. it works damn good in my setup, though i would suggest running cfls inline with the led if you have them. because well why not right? if you have them sure. my setup is a bit restrictive on room but it works great as you can tell lol.

the LED panel DOES have the pass thru outlet on it. though it isnt 3-prong(U.S. standard socket),its the regular 2 prong and im sure you'd be able to plug in whatever you wanted in there and be fine.

update: 3 plants have decided to show their gender! unfortunately 2 of them are males, so i yanked them out and destroyed them. but im stoked for my female! its a Northern Lights. heres a update pic..
