Light for clone?

Just wondering once I CUT my clones and have them set into rockwool or similar, should I leave them in the dark for a period of time to let them relax after the shock of being cut? I was told by my green thumb mother that for most cuttings the cutting does best in the dark for a day or two (sometimes longer) before going under the lights, is this true of cannabis also? She said that it is that way for all plants. Ran a search and looked in the FAQ but can't find this topic covered?

I've never heard of anything else other than putting them straight under lights and I haven't tried any other way either but to be safe I'd do it that way,

I hadn't either... but she is totally into gardening both indoor and outdoor gardens, watches HGTV and does all those gardening message board sites so how can I argue with all that when all I know is pop a seed, hope it grows, then hope I don't kill it!

the clones need to be put under some low intensity lighting right away, floros work best for me....also i like to folier feed my littleones with 1/4 foxfarm untill they have some little roots comin in

I have some bubba kushberry seeds that will be planted very soon, currently I have four, Silver Kush, Candy Berry Kush, Headband, Granddaddy Kush. These were the only strains available at the time, not that I am complaining. I've had Headband and Sliver Kush and both are very good. I want to grow so many so hard to choose, I am getting these off an running then I plan to order some seeds so I can grow a few strains like:

Motivation
White Widow
Warlock
Opium
LA Conf
AK47

Those are just some of the wonderful strains I want to eventually start up along with a ton more, but hey only so much time, space and money.

I always put my new cut clones in thier humidity dome with the propogation heating pad on medium under it using a few pencils or sticks to lift the tray just off the pad to so air can move under it and warm the tray evenly. I use florescent shop lights right on the lids kept on 24 hours a day opening twice a day for 10 minutes and giving a fresh mist with water with a few drops of nitrozyme added which has hormones to stimulate growth.Roots in 3-5 days

sounds like u got some killer strains dude. iv actually grown opium b4..(lol not the actual opium the strain ur talking about) good stuff. i liked the plant i had cuz it would eat nutes like crazy...turned male tho . good luck man stay blazed!
