ok i had wanted to get these hangers for my light fixture and they wanted about 30 bucks at the hydro shop and about 20 on-line plus shipping.

well i found a set on ebay for 10 bucks.

it just came in the mail and it didnt have no instructions on how to set it up.
i think i might be missing somthing.

can some one help me out seting this up?

that really doesnt help much. the way i see it is i need to go to home depo and pick up some extra stuff.

the rope doesnt seem to lock on its own, i think i have to rap it around and clamp it down.

does any one know for sure how to set these things up?

the plastic gray part with the hole is where you thread the light hanger through(wingnut facing the front of light). You tie the string end to either an s-hook, carabiner, or those screw hooks that they usually come with.

It truly doesn't matter which way you attach it to the light but keep in mind if you attach it the s hook and the string to the lamp you will have to reach for it to adjust the tension. It works off the weight of your hood, with no weight it will always retract. So once you add weight you adjust the tension so the hood doesn't just fall.
