Light leak on tent

hey guys

I have just set up my first grow tent.
I have a 150w cfl on an 18hr light timer.
With a ventilation fan as well.

My question is
If my plant is in the veg state with 18hrs of light set to go off at 11:30pm and back on at 5:30am. Should I worry about light leaks if technically the leaks will only be during the day time.

I have read lots of threads that say light leaks are a total no. Does this only apply to growers that are turning their lights off during the day?

The leaks are through the vents of the tent.

I'm pretty new to this so any help will be great.

Close them up, if needed use black felt or something. Small pin holes are not going to be a problem but if you have big light leaks that will be. Flower is coming and you will most likely not be able to sync your on/off time to the daylight hours.

i stumbled across the seeds, is there any way of finding out if they are autos?

I love autos in my cold frame greenhouse, no worries about that street light or the neighbors patio.

Not that know of other that grow it out and it starts to preflower on the same light schedule as veg

Thanks il keep an eye out for signs of flowering on my current light cycle
