lighting cycles

Ok my seed sprouted an been under a couple 14w cfl's for the past week...I just got my 150w hps system but im only willing to run it during day light hours(to not create a hot spot for flir) but I want to veg 24/24 for month then flower 12/12 using both hps and cfl's..

My problem is I dont have money until next paycheck and I wanted to buy 4 42w cfl's so I could run those during night hours..I figure the hps outputs 16,000 lumens an those CLF's output 11,000 lumens it shouldnt affect the plants to much losing 5,000 lumens during night hours

So my question is will my seedlings be ok for a week and recognise the night hours under 2 14w cfl's as day light? an not go hermi on me or something

any light is light. if you wanna drop your light to 2 14w at night to avoid infared.. i don't see why it wouldn't work... 1 led in your grow room on something like a power strip can cause problems with female plants.. i've seen it. i have a buddy now that is getting little male pods here and there , and it's next to a led on a fan or something..

just run the 150w hps.....the dea isnt going to raid your house for the same heat spot that is put off by any incandesant track lighting or chandelere.
leo looks for hot spots put out from high wattage grow rooms and ops...150w runs very cool and will not put up any red flags from flyovers or the electric company.....

First things first..LEO will most likely not EVEN fly over your area with infgrared...if so,they wont care about your puny 150W...TRUST ME...they go after a couple 1000W in the same room..where your whole house looks normal,but there is ONE room thgat hasd a blidning infrared sig..like if theyr a fire raging inb there,then they get suspicious...also,lumens DO NOT ADD UP...it doesnt matter iof you have 5 cfl's that each give off 1000 lumens..you WILL NOT have 5000 lumens..instaed youll have only 1000 but SPREAD MORE EVENLY....thats why I HATE growing with cfl's....even if you get the 42W..they still give off about 1200 lumens...and your plants will ONLY GET 1200 lumens...even if you have 20 cfl's ion there..u get me??

Please buy a 400W hps...save youtrself the hassle and aggravtion of growing with those shitty chritsmas lights!!!!
