lighting question after seeds crack

I have used paper towel method and the seeds are cracked and the taproot is showing. If I plant them in my soil now would I still need to give them darkness til they break the dirt? Or can I just slap them under lights and let them be.

I'm no expert but with mine I put them under the light when I put them in the dirt. Two days later they were breaking the soil and reaching for it. I didn't use very stong lights at first them at 2 weeks put more light on them.

thanks I guess I will do the same. I only have a 400 watt MH but i'll just keep it 3 feet away til I see the plant starts to stretch for light and i'll gradually lower it.

400 watt MH is what I put mine under after 2 weeks. they were under fluorescents till then. You probably never want to be less than 3' from them with that light even after 2 couple of weeks.
