Lighting Question

I have a double bulbed flouresent light and it is long, so long I cant fit it across my closet, is it better to have one big light or several little lights ?

You must be an 8 footer. Go with a 4 foot shoplight. They are the cheapest fixture and tubes to buy, and they work fine.
