lighting question!!!

my maintenence man came to look at my ac this morning and i had to cut the light off for about 30 -40 min so he wouldnt see iit...i s this a big enough problem for my plant or should i be ok???????

Ohhh look what you did. I'm telling mom..Mom, Nate turned the lights off just so he wouldn't get busted.
Ever have a storm in your area that blocks out the sun for 30 or 40 minutes. What can you do about it now anyhow?? VV

are you flowering? if you are, it would have been better to give it 12 hours or more of darkness. if in veg, no prob, don't worry about it.

12 or more hours of dark would have been better. you can give a plant less than 12 hours of light in flower and it'll be fine, just as you can give it more dark than 12 hours, so long as you don't give them more than 12-14 hours of light. doing so will cause stress and problems.

but you said that longer nights is what causes flowering..other than that ive had it on under 12/12.....look at my other forum and youll see the pics

if you have 11hours of light and 13hours of dark, yes it will work just fine. however, that's 50 or more hours of light that the plant could have had to make energy (from start to end of flower). that's why 12/12 is the main lighting cycle for flower; it's the best of day and nite, an artificial perfect ballance.
