so i have 5 plants in 3 gallon pots all are LST'd. they are under four 23 watt cfls, which is 6400 lumens. I will be moving these under a 400w hps. Should I get a t5 light fixture for better lumen out put? feel free to give any suggestions. thanks

Sounds similar to my set-up.. 5 plants (in flower), LST, 3 gal. pots and a 400w HPS...

I just used cfls and flouros to veg and the 400w is handling all of the flowering lighting, but of course if you can keep your temps down, the more light the better!

Size and efficiency... T5s are the smallest and the most efficient...

Then T8s are slightly bigger in diameter, not as good as T5s, better than T12s LOL...

T12s have the largest diameter and are far less efficient than T5s, but all of them most definately still get the job done...
