guys jus a quick question

say having 2 plants under a 400w or 6 plants would the yield be the same

nd generally what is the average yield off a 400w hps

It depends on the light trajectory, the plants on the outside might be a little bit smaller than the ones on the inside, or you can alternate their positions, shouldn't make a huge deal in loss though. If it's just a small bulb it's probably not worth doing though.

Its more about light footprint a 400w is at max 3x3 footprint , You could cram lots of little clones in 1/2 gallon airpots maybe around 12-16 which might yield a little more.

However environmental control plays a vital role in yields.

The average yield is 0.5g per watt of light. So approx 200g , 400 X 0.5 = 200. Regardless of plant numbers.

Other variables such as veg time, strain choice and growing style play another big role.
