Is it possible to grow a plant from start to finish under a 400watt MH lamp?

Yes you can, but MH does not do as well as HPS for flowering. If this is the light you have, I would suggest using it and looking on line for the enhanced MH bulbs. They have more of the red and orange light that is needed for flowering. You will have to spend nore for the bulbs, but it is worth it in the end. Go to National Garden Wholesale. This is where I get my stuff. Good luck!!

Yea I can get a 400watt MH for really cheap. Wonder if it is worth it or not.

It will work just fine for growing all the way through.
