I've been using 24/0 since the beginning, and today i went like 23/1 or something. Its been 30 days and i wanna start flowering soon, but i need a good light schedule. 12/12 doesnt really work for me. ive heard about 8/16, that seems to be the ticket or 7/17. But can i just put it on that or do i have to ease it into 8/16

I've heard that 14/10 will work, but will increase flowering times. Just go with 12/12 though man. Get a timer if you need one. You can get them pretty cheap. Like a few dollars at homedepot.

i found a good one at Wal_mart. its a Intermatic outdoor timer..10Amp and 3 prong (grounded).. cost like $ 10..
Lowe's has a shit load of em but cost more..

I was wondering how old your plant was, cuz isnt 30 days a little short on maturity?

I grow from seed and start flowering after 30 days a lot of the time. Some strains already show preflowers by that time. By 5 weeks I always started flowering. If I let them go for six or eight weeks like all the grow guides say, they would get a lot taller than I want them to get.

Were do you read? Just the grow faq? cause i dont wanna take things people say in there posts because theres always another post that will contradict the initial persons point, so i dont know what to believe.

you gotta do 12/12
get a timer. they are cheap. $5-10 US dollars. and set it so that the darkness is during the night when you're in bed. make sure light cant get through during the 12 hours of dark. meaning... if youre growing in a room you use make sure you cover any cracks in a closet ect, so that it remains completely dark.

Yea no light can get out we made sure of this, when making the stealth box. So that proabbly means none can get in. And its raining today so ill just go grab a timer tomorrow.

I've read that if you have the light time set so that your plants flower it may take longer but the buds would be more leafy
