Lighting

Normally when you grow you use a hanging HID when flowering. The lower buds of the plant tend to get less light due to the distance from the lamp and because of the shadow from the other leaves and buds.

What if you put some fluorescent right next to the bottom of your plants? Seems like the cost of fluorescent electricity would be minor compared to the higher yield.

has anyone ever done this or have an opinion?

oh. beautiful, exactly what i was looking for. Are you using any specific type of floro in those pics?

Also wondering how low buds grow, starting at the first node?

thank you

Yeah as already all are mentioned it really great idea exactly that will help to get light distributed equally on your growing plants...but take care of heat that will damaged your plants.... also Fluorescent bulbs are a cost effective solution offering four times the light of an incandescent bulb per unit of electricity.

The ideal size of bulb for plant growth is the T12 four foot length tube.

A little pricey, but the HO T5's are great for supplemental lighting, if not for your entire grow. Check them out.
