My 1 m sqr tent seems to be a bit cool with the temp sitting at 22-23, iv had the idea of putting another 400w in tent, iv already got a 600 in there and when I put a fan in with just 600 the temp was sat at 18-19c, so if I put the 400 in with fan blowing between the light and top of plants do you think the temp would go to high or be about right, I just think the temps bit low, any advise guys ???

Yeah keep it at plant height just out of direct light. It's probably reading hotter than it really is because of radiant heat. It's like sitting in the shade on a sunny day, it feels cooler but air temp is the same.

please remember weed don't like wet feet!

pythium or root rot just loves them pools of water

one rip of root rot(smells like rotten socks) will blow you away

better to extract therm plants checking the plant close like

water... then allow to drain then return to the cage

What are the dimensions of your tent? It looks like it may not be a big enough area for the 600+400=1000 watts of light. If the lights too intense you'll have a bigger issue than maintaining an ideal temp.

It looks like the 600 is probably ideal. If you want to bring up the temp you're probably better off warming the space you're drawing your intake from. That is as long as the tent is too small for the 1000 watts total lighting.

Well I can't heat up where I take the inlet from because that's outside,

Do you mean rather than having inlet go directly into tent have it just coming in the room and open the flap at the bottom of tent, so the cold air isn't directly in the tent ????
You could always invest in a fan controller? Or if you dont have one try removing your intake fan but leave the flaps of your tent open so they become your inlet, its all tinkering but youll get there eventually

My first hid cab setup had dual intakes with flaps, i would pull from outside when the lights kicked on then pulled from inside after the lights shut off. I exhausted everything outside from a window away from the intake. It worked great other then the fucking smell in late flower lol

Pretty much exactly that. It would allow your intake air to mix the air in the room buffering the temp. If your intake is a window you can regulate it by opening it more on warm days/less on cool nights, for example.

Fan controllers are great as long as humidity isn't an issue. If you're taking air directly into your tent you can light proof the intake by putting a few feet of ducting with the blacked out interior in it and doubling over the ducting on itself to create a light trap.

Tbh I think I'm flicking to flower now, got temp sorted now sitting between 28.8c-29.3c with a humidity of 50%, there ready to go for buds I think looking at them, temps right for flower so is humidity so yeah thanks man IMG_20170922_191200750.jpg

Do you know how much of a stretch those go through? That might get pretty crowded. As far as temp and humidity when the lights go off and the air cools the humidity spikes. One easy trick is to run the lights at night. It'll keep the plsnts warmer at night and cooler in the day and help level out the swings in humidity.

Also, you may want to look up temperature differential. It's a bit advanced and you're probably better off looking up a proper article on it than taking my word but it's a big deal. I've even seen some very good reasons to run a +dif.

Yh thanks mate switched to flower today, just one concern is when lights on temps like 28.5c - 29.5 with humidity at 44-46%, and now the lights of the temps gone down to17.5c with humidity of 78%, is that okay ??

78% is really high. Generally you want to keep the ph inside of the 40%-60% range. This is the range where the plant performs best and molds don't.
