Some retard my ex roomie started hanging out with was bumping his gums about all the weed he's grown. Well, he proceeds to tell this ridiculous tale about this "monumental garden" (to use his choice of descriptive wording) that was composed of 40-50 plants. To make a long and unlikely story short, he goes into how his garden spontaneously combusts right in front of his eyes (right after he finished watering them.....yeah wtf). Humoring him, I ask him how in the bloody SHIT did THAT happen???? He explains his theory as this:
He says he diagnosed the vast majority of his garden with a potassium deficiency. To treat this, of course, he supplements his entire garden with nutes high in K. K is very reactive when in contact with water. When mixed, they produce hydrogen and K is exothermic enough that the hydrogen produced can ignite. He claims this is how his garden burns to a crisp right before him, minutes after he finishes watering. This has got to be one of the most outlandish weed stories I have ever heard. I mean, can anyone verify this dude's claims???? I mean, K is often used as a desiccant, which means it can induce dryness, but too much K wouldn't dry his plants or chemically react with water to ignite his plants. That must've been some special K......haha sorry I couldn't resist the corny ass pun, I'm high haha
Thoughts people please...
