little growths at the nodes..does that mean its a male?

this is my first grow, the plants are 4 weeks old and today i noticed some growth at the nodes. im not sure what they are my room mate says that means its a guy but i thought that u couldnt sex the plant until a week after flowering... please help

those babies look great!! ur roomate doesnt know what hes talking about.. u wont know til week into flowering lol .. few of my friends thought the same as ur roomie lol

in veg don't plants show pre-pistols sometimes? My strawberry d-lite has been vegging for 5 weeks and she's got white hairs coming out of her.

nope you can get preflowers as early as 4 weeks but your plants arent that well developed yet, poor lighting from the amount of stretching. Males almost always apear first.

those are definetly normal, nothing to do with sex,and yes you can tell sex before flowering. its called pre-flowering.
