Longhorn's Super Lemon Haze Grow!!

Ok, here is one for you guys.. day 30 is tomorrow. I have, in the past, switched to flower at 30 days. Sometimes though, sex was not evident at day 30..so that being said, the plants need another week before showing sex I think. You guys switch before showing sex or wait??

Indica will grow oposing leaves, one directly accross from the other leaf, until it becomes an adult or a mature plant. Upon becoming an adult plant, it will start growing ALTERNATING LEAVES, one slightly higher up the stem than the prevous one.
When it does become an adult, it will show pre-flowers in 7 to 10 days, without starting 12/12 or regardless of when you start 12/12.

I start 12/12 when it shows alternating leaves at 35 days on average.

This is only my first grow but I switched at 28 days. It did take about 10 more days for them to show sex. Many experienced grower will recommend to wait until they are fully mature before switching the light cycle. This means they have preflowers and asymmetrical branching. They are fully mature at about 5-6 weeks. I would also recommend waiting until at least 5 weeks as long as you have no time or height restrictions.

Thats some very compact looking plants. They look great! i'm subscribed. I actually ordered some pick and mix super lemon haze so i'm very interested in how the plant grows. This is my next grow after pineapple express.

Thanks guys..I am real proud of these so far. Except for the light dropping on one, they are doing well. And even then, that plant is all but recovered already, just a little bit of discoloration on two leaves. I also stopped using the a/c unit at night now because it is so cold outside. I was just running the fan, not even the a/c, and the temp at night inside the tent was dropping below 70 degrees. I can't hang with temperatures that low on my plants. So, I stopped that and I have the temp sitting at 76 and 40% humidity.

Take a look at the leaves on the plant in picture one, check out that real long skinny one by the tent door. I have never seen leaves that narrow and that dark. Anyone else seen one that narrow before? Maybe cause the ones I used to see all the time were ground up...haha!!

Well I got home today from being out of town for three days and wow am I suprised. On Sunday I did a water change and continued to add Liquid Humus. 2 water changes in a row I have added Humus. I believe it plays a HUGE role in growth. They had 3 full gallons of water on Sunday night. By noon today, they were at a 1/4 water. Thirsty little things. I will let you decide. Here are the pics from today!! 1st three are each individual plant, then the last pic is the three together.

The longer the VEG cycle, the more the yield.
Consider this, in nature, outdoors, we plant a seed in mid to late April. It grows through April, May, June, July, and in mid to late July, as the sun's rays change, the plant naturally changes from VEG to FLOWER, with the diminishing sun's rays. That is nature's way. The plant grows and matures to an adult plant for about 3 to 4 months. THEN, it makes flowers. That is nature's way.

Indoors, in HYDRO with feeder tubes, we cut that time in half, by using 24/7 LIGHT. instead of 3 months, or 13 weeks, it takes about 5 to 6 weeks to become a mature plant in HYDRO, with 24/7 LIGHT. Pot plants growing as young plants, make what we call nodes, or a set of two leaves, one directly across form the other. When a pot plant is mature, it will make new leaves one at a time, not directly across from an other leaf, but staggered.

OK, also in nature, in addition to plants, we see animals and humans reproduce at maturity or adulthood. If a human, (or dog or any animal) is forced to make babies before maturity, like getting a 12 yr old girl pregnant, or a dog in her very first heat, then the babies are weak, or runts, or deformed, and just not at their best.
A dude here, a most experienced, knowledgable grower named fdd2blk (and a MOD here too) taught me a long time ago, that it does not make sense, it is not wise, it is not logical, to make a child have a child, and it is not wise or smart or logical to make an immature baby plant, have babies. LET THE BABIES GROW AND LET THE ADULTS MAKE BABIES.
If you will VEG for 5 weeks, to 6 weeks, you will have more time for proper TOPPING, PRUNING, AND FIMMING, and you'll get bigger plants, a much larger yield, and you will also have a mature adult plant, ready to make healthy, stronger babies (flowers) .

If you begin Indica Flowering, after VEGGING 3 or 4 weeks, you will harvest about 60% to 75% of what you would have harvested, IF you had waited and VEGGED for 5 or 6 full weeks.

This info applies to rapid growing in Hydro, and to Indica strains. NOT slowly in SOIL, and NOT Sativa.

I average 3 to 4 ounces per plant, VEGGING 5 to 6 weeks, and I have gotten 7 ounces from one plant

I saw your thread about SLH taking the cup again this yr.

How are you going to handle the height? Or do you have plenty of head room?

My sativa Thai plant has grown past my light(I'm in a tent), so next time I'll try super cropping and see if it helps in keeping the plant lower. Did you hear anything about super cropping while over there?

The colas are getting huge. The Thai has larger colas/bud sites than the indica.

Bluey is that awesome or what for the Cup and Greenhouse...excited for them. About the height, yeah I have enough room I think...<praying actually> If not, I will just open the thing up and hang the lights in the room. I didn't hear anything about super cropping. The places I was exposed to were small buildings where height wasn't an issue. I can say that I got to see the biggest plants I have ever seen in my life there. Some were like Christmas trees, I was stunned and amazed. You know in movies where people have all that money, they throw it on a bed, then roll around it??? I just wanted to jump in all those plants and roll around in them...unreal...How far past your light is the Thai now?

The Thai has grown past the light and is sitting just below the ceiling of the tent. I snapped off about 4" trying to bend it, but it healed nicely.

It's really filling out. I'm impressed with the size of the colas. Sweet!!!

Very cool. These things are going nuts, drinking tons of water. I never have had to replace this much water and nutrients before. I feeding constantly. I was told that you almost can't overfeed them. They will take whatever you got and then some. And stink...WOW!!!

First time I ever threw up (puked) from smoking pot was smoking Thai buds. I almost passed out too.
