Wasn't a Tripp Lite sport! Sounds like an old Amana.....

I wanna say your mistaken on just what it was...... They are solid as a rock. Powerful and efficient too. Server room coolers.....How did that one get rid of the condensate?

You can't buy a better portable- PERIOD!
Lol no sport it was a Tripp, I'll send you copy of the WO if you need proof ..... :(.... you got stock in the company doc? It was one unit so perhaps the rest are rock solid lol. The condensate is evaporated by running the discharge line through the condensate tray, well this one was as there was no drain in the room. Actually had to manually drain it for an couple of hours when I got it going due to humidity :(. I was surprised that the unit only had 1 year warranty being 5x the cost of a no name.

Hmmm.

How long ago? Very odd. Mine is 5 years old and hums along everyday. Never, ever had a problem with it. Got another in the office and same for that - 3 years old... NEVER a problem.

Now I had an old Amana that had the blower wheel come apart. Got a new OEM wheel online and replaced it. Worked for less then a year and the wheel really came apart. Jammed everything up good and fried the motor. Piece of shit...Multi Resin Nylon failed from environment in the unit (It gets brittle). Tripp's do not use MRN.

The one in the op has run in high RH plenty. Never, ever has it accumulated condensate..... The one in the house chugs along in common summer high RH. Never had a problem there either....
Best portables I've ever owned.

I'm not saying the line is not good just the one I worked on, all, well most, units that are using 410 are having coil leak issues if in the 5-10 year range and I did a search last night, seems others have had fan blade issues as well ;). Again it's one unit lol. I used to do lots of server rooms that were switching from water cooled to air, typically ductless though with low ambient kits.
