Seems like everytime I make oil it turns out to be shatter. I don't have a vacuum purge so I heat purge. I only do small runs currently but looking to start larger runs in the future so want to get things down.
If I heat it and whip it; it just returns to its shatter state. It is stable meaning I can hold most of my A-C waxes D/F are black slug I just use for personal use.
I have that stainless steel blaster from BBB and a Glass one that holds about a qp.
My stuff is very clear to begin with and smells great. I warm water purge temps 120-150f generally not very long as I don't want to affect color or smell/taste.
I blasted a concentrate from FRESH material this time. The strain is a White Widow/Crystal
SO to start with is it normal for everything I blast to become "shatter". I really wanna get that ear wax consistency is that possible without a vac?
My process Blast into 120-140f preheated pyrex, after liquid evap add heat to maintain 140f, pop bubbles with needle, next scrape oil onto parchment paper put back onto heat to remelt and verify no bubbles (maybe 5-15 mins tops 140f) then remove.
Below are pics of some oil we made using that WW and some Newport Butane (light color shatter) FRESH material
Dark one is same plant second run with Lucienne Butane
The other two (not clear) are from some White Snowflake Dried and cured material unlike the concentrate the oleoresin seems to start to turn into the wax with some heat/whipping.
One other major thing my yields really are poor. I am averaging about 5% on Fresh material in my small trials and only about 10% on my dried/cured runs it would seem.
I have read the forums and I have done my DD and research just need a few things to come together I believe to fully understand this.
We also will have a 3 Gal 2 stage pump before this time next week to experiment with but in the meantime any EXPERIANCED advice would be very appreciated.
