LOOKING FOR DESIGNATED GROWER IN BC

Me and 3 others are looking for a designated grower. We have doctors approval for 15g a day each.
Out of curiosity, what are your expectations from a DG? What/how would you be willing to compensate the growers time with? I see a real need for DG's but it can be cost prehivitive to start growing from scratch to provide meds. Rent, hydro, equipment, nutrients, time, ect

I'm new to all this and don't want anything done illegally. If you have any ideas on how you would like to have things done please share. Lets see if it would work for all of us

The best way to approach it is to take 100% of the harvest and compensate the grower for their time. Unless you can find a grower with an established garden, there's going to be start up costs. With you having 4 licences your going to need to start from scratch, finding an address (rent), lights, grow equipment, hydro costs, labour. Expect to dish out some serious coin before you see any meds. 300 plants is no joke, and start up could cost 10's of thousands. Wish I could help.

here's 2 possbilities for you from Craigslist-this guy will do it for $2 a G but when i spoke to him, i was leery of quality. he said "It's not AAA but no one has said it's crap" https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/for/5936089706.html

and the second guy is a complete joke-he offered 20% of the script and he keeps the rest. he offered us 12 OZ per month for a 52 g a day license https://abbotsford.craigslist.ca/grd/5924459438.html

i have no affiliation with either of these guys and said no thanks to both but someone else might make a deal

I wish anyone who wants to try them the best

I would have told the second guy to fuck off and that Id report his ass. Scamming patients, AND the system openly, nice.....

Is this whole finding a designated grower a big problem? If I got fair compensation I would grow meds for someone else. I wouldnt want the overages just cash. But this could be a real business idea.

i told him that the grower keeping 80% of the prescription wasn't right and no thanks. that is the worst offer i have heard of so far...and he said they've hooked up over 30 patients to growers since Aug 2016!!

That's what the LP portion of the ACMPR is for - the legalized production.

ACMPR is for medicine and not as a way for black market thugs to become legal growers. The program allows a person to grow for themselves because an individual can take on their own risk. Once you get someone else to do it the government has to make sure the product is safe. If you are taking pot, you don't have the mental capacity to make the risk decision so any argument is moot. Lots of lawyers will take your money (with a smile of course) to plead your case though.

It is a good thing that HC and the RCMP are looking into these 'DG' operations being advertised and anyone over a certain amount. Wait until the inspection schedules come up to check and see if the site is producing an acceptable product within its limits. Cleaning up the industry is good for all Canadians.

I get requests on a weekly basis to be a DG. Biggest thing right now is finding an address for your ppl. There are tons of growers but nowhere to build a garden. Most people are looking for free meds and expect the DG to cover all cost and sell the overage to pay for overhead. People don't seem to realize that it costs real money to grow. Equipment, nutrients, electricity can add up fast for the 3 months it takes to harvest, especially for larger scripts.

Itsme.
I think a lot of us are coming across this. Everyone wants free meds in exchange for them graciously facilitating a licence. They usually want you to explain and do the paperwork too.

Ya, let me just pay for everything, do everything, take all the risk then also risk the BM to try and recoup my initial cost.. And they have the stones to act like they're doing ME a favour. I've started getting less tactful in my rejections. Unless they offer a "I'll pay what I can" donation system or something, then I let them down easy. But only 1 out of over 70 have offered that, rest act like entitled dickweeds.
