I've only got three grows under my belt on Photoperiods. All done in Canna coco with Cannas full line of nutes. All good grows but looking for a faster nice yielding auto. Any growing tips from lighting schedules, nute recommendations, pot sizes, etc.
I've been bouncing between Fast & vast and sweet dark devil. Thanks in advance.

image.jpg I'm no pro, but here is a pic of a couple of auto jack herrer. I took these this morning. Right at 8 weeks. Looks like they will yield ok for the light set up I have. I started the lights 18/6, and have not changed. About 4 weeks to go.

when did you switch to 18/6? Hydro or coco?
18/6 from the beginning. Soilless; pro mix, perlite, and dolomite, passive hydro.
Autos like a nice, light, airy medium. Make it easy for the roots to grow into. Make sure the grow medium drains well, they also like wet/dry cycles. In other words let the medium dry out between waterings. Not desert dry but when the pots get light to lift.

Thanks so much for the info! Sounds like my routine now. Except the lighting. That's the only con is I have is running the lights so long due to electricity spikes but the shorter harvest time seems worth it. Yield is my biggest concern. I guess it's better to try then to wonder.

i have grown SS dark devil, mdanzigs sour spyder, DP think different and dinafem critical cheese. if i had to recommend one i would choose critical cheese. CC took longer to finish than the DD and SS but had dense resinous nugs, yielded and tasted great. very easy to grow.

TD was crappy as hell but people here seem to like it because of the high yields. depending on the smoke available in your area you might like it but where im from think different is like some mid grade crap. doesnt even smell like weed when lit, more like a incense smell.

cant go wrong with dark devil or sour spyder. DD stays short but the sour spyder with a 5gl pot included will grow over 6ft, so dont grow if height is an issue.

Thanks for the advice man. Been checking out the Fast & Vast auto,
THC Bomb auto and the Sweet dark Devil. Sour spider sounds awesome but height is an issue at this moment. Hopefully by years end I'll have my super room completed to grow any size Gurl I want! Like a lot of people I'm looking for the holy grail of autos. Fast, very high yield and potent as a motherf$@&?%. :)

dark devil is good but a bit on the fluffy side.
sour spyder and critical cheese are solid dense and resinous with great yield, potency and taste.
cant comment on any other autos since ive only grown those 4 strains but i love the CC and SS.
take it from me - i live in the east coast and there are some picky smokers out here and all my friends love it.

oh I dunno, my dark devil came out solid, its all down to how much Light power you use plus loads of other factors, feeds etc.. etc..

here she is anyhoo, 9 Oz dry, grown under a Eshine 320 LED. (approx. 576 W output)

she was really tall in a 45L airpot , so if height is a issue, watch out with this one

But my favourite so far is this Amnesia from Vision seedbank. Stumpy but loaded, 6 Oz dry. Grown under a BudMaster II 450XG LED. (approx. 450 Watt output)

im not disagreeing with you but i grew them at the same time as the SS using the same nutes and lights, big difference in bud density compared to all of the other strains ive grown.
maybe you got a different pheno than mine but im not saying is bad smoke just that the SS and CC where more dense and resinous, also better smelling and tasting.
