Welcome to the wonderful world of RIU where you say something, have no name people telling you how wrong you are, and then you begin to doubt your plan.

OK so. lol.....................

Here's the PLAN(But it can and may have to be changed.)

First I have an HSO Blue Dream S1 growing and I self'd it. so S2 resulting seeds

Blue Dream S2(Blueberry Muffin Phenotype)
x
Blue Dream S1(Haze Phenotype)
=
Blue Dream F1
?

That is a question but laid out so it's easier to read.

Basically I was wondering if crossing 2 plants of the same strain both from seed would result in an F1 cross.

They are of different generations and phenotype. So what would the progeny's generational title be? S- or F-?

I know its still inbreeding, I'm not quite sure what to call fucking you aunt in the plant world. They would essentially be an incross so they would effectively be F2s for stability purposes if my understanding is correct.

It would Be an F1 inbred Hybrid. As I assumed....

I have read and reread this to make sure I am reading it right. But all I would need is 2x S2 plants from seed mutually crossed to make an F1.

http://www.genetics.org/content/163/1/335.full.pdf
"F1 hybrids:

When the S2 plants were mutually crossed

as indicated in Table 2, all F1 plants examined contained
both CBD and THC in considerable amounts, and no pure chemotypes were found."

yea thats right its still f1 f1 but inbreed and hybridized. the interesting thing about that pdf you linked is that they used hemps as their high cbd purity strain, this would mean that instead of trying to find a high cbd strain from high thc varieties people should be looking at hemp for their high cbd needs. the high cbd strains selling at seed banks cost way more than hemp seeds that can be found for around 1$ each.
