I see this:

MarsII 900w model
Gorilla Tent 2'x2.5'x7'

450w in 5 sq ft. Answer: an astonishing 90w/sq ft.

Why do you think that's remarkable results? Nobody has denied Mars Hydro works like this? (I actually thought a little more highly of Mars Hydro. I would have guessed 60w/sq ft. Maybe less for an autoflower.).

So, when would you like to be the new @REALSTYLES ? :) When are you going to start that COB?

I was ordering another marshydro 300w but maybe I'll go cob instead. Probably pull the trigger tomorrow or this weekend after a little more research.

If you're to make a serious comparison, make sure you buy what the folks there are talking about - not a random ebay COB.

Not yet. You might overdose. But, soon. I promise.

I gave you milk to drink, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Indeed, even now you are not yet able, (1 Corinthians, 3:2)
Hi AZ2000 I just switched from 600wLED to 600 hps as I was unimpressed with the first 17 flowering days with the LEDs.

2-300w Galaxyhydro 9 spec
Those were probably 150w actual (each). So, it sounds like you replaced 300w with 600w.

Even if you had 600w of epi-whatever (like Galaxy) it would not equal 600w of HPS.

I hope you didn't develop a bad opinion of LED generally.

1. Autoflowers are short. Epi-whatever LEDs work better for short plants.

2. It's convenient (again) for you to point to awesome grows without any information about the power used to achieve that awesomeness.

I don't feel like I'm "hating" by pointing out that you guys were talkng about running between 56 and 72w/sq ft.

If someone wants to do that, that's fine. Where's the hate in that?

It seems like you want to keep that information out of it. And, anyone who mentions it is a "hater." Isn't that a hate of reality?
Who really gives a fuck about efficiency, unless your a closet grower trying to keep the power bill down so that your mommy and daddy don't catch on , Right Seriously now ,, Mars would not be around as long as they have if the light didn't grow ,, So who is really hating ??
You know,, It seems really that only ones bitching about Mars is the Cob growers ,
Mind you they bitch about pretty much everything
Screaming Efficiency ,,,, Truth is for many means diddly Squat ..

Yup the Hid killers them ones with wires sticking out of there Diy crap
Just waiting for one of these Diy units to start a house fire ...
But 1000 watt Hid killers
Scream scream Efficiency,, brag about your 300 watt Diy @ 800 bucks haha jesus christ
you know 1000 watt mag reflector kit with bulb 150.00 bucks and 2.5 pounds
Cause really its all about the numbers at the end of a grow GPW means nothing

So just think for 1 - 300 watt or what ever Cob unit for 800 bucks you could of had 5000 watts of shitty HPS hahaha and pull 12.5 pounds every 90 days Right

Like i said 430 bucks is what cost me to make 3 pound harvest in 10 weeks 1200 watt Nano
and like i said before how much would it cost to make a Cob unit to do 10 week 3 pound harvests ????

So is there really haters ??? i guess if your a cob growers spending that much on 1 unit i am sure , But keep screaming Efficiency like it really means something like for some hobby grower.. Who is so worried about 3.00 or 10 bucks a month on savings is going to make you believe hahaha
for that price 2 - 900 watt Mars for same cost as one diy Cob unit would probably beat it

I've always said: if efficiency doesn't matter, 70-90w/sq ft with a Mars doesn't matter. The problem is when the Mars users object to that comparison. They want to believe they're doing something efficient.

Then others who are concerned about efficiency see massive grows on YouTube and buy Mars (without realizing the video they saw used 70-90w/sq ft).

When that's pointed out, we get the helpful hecklers chiming in with a "nobody should care about efficiency."

Good luck with what you do.
