Full,

That sounds like a pretty sensible plan to me. There's no need to rush this call and run the risk of making a grave mistake.

That being said though, they are looking like males to me but I'd still wait a couple more days just to be sure. Personally I couldn't see what it was in that one picture that made "The Lt." seem to be so sure that plant was a female.

This last go round I had with plant sexing came down to one final plant I wasn't sure of. It was looking like a male and I dam near yanked it but was so unsure I decided to give it a couple more days. I dam glad I did because it turned out it was female.

I know that time will tell. I have been going off of what i have seen in the past as well as what is in the FAQ here at https://www.rollitup.org/view.php?pg=faq&cmd=article&id=603

The plants that i have that i think that are male look just like the male in this pic.
Full,

Being as my eye sight is not quite what it used to be I find that a 5x magnifying glass is dam near indispensible to me in trying to figure out the sex of a plant at this early stage.

Just curious, but how long have your plants been under 12/12?

On my current crop I had them all sexed by day 9 after switching to 12/12. Except for that one I was telling you about. I believe it was day 11 or 12 before I was finally sure of it.

Full,

Some more about this whole determing sex thing........You know how it seems to be generally accepted that males show up (and indicate) first? Well I think I have to disagree with that. I think they show up randomly at about the same times. And I know that it is easier for me to be sure of a female quicker and earlier than it is a male.

Looking back at my notes I see that it was on day 5 (since switching to 12/12) that I was able to determine the first sex of a plant and it was female. Then on day 7 I could determine (and be sure of) 13 more females and 8 males. This (and previous similar experiences) leads me to believe that this whole "males indicate first" paradigm might be more myth than actual scientific fact.

I have to agree with you i dont think that one shows faster than the other. I have seen it both ways in my past. Today was the start of the 5th day of flower so i hope to see some new development today of sex
