Lost Entire Crop (7 plants) To Mold/Mildew/Rot During Drying

Recently relocated to the sweaty ass crack that is Louisiana. Had 7 lovely GDP/blueberry/OG hybrid sisters, harvested in pristine condition at day 64, only to lose them within a week as they hung. Two weren't trimmed at all, two had their fan leaves removed and the remaining three were fully trimmed. I noticed the "hay" smell too late and upon separating the bud from the stem it was pressed up against, noticed the grey color and smell. One bud (sugar leaves untrimmed) that was hanging by a string/fiber (not attached to stem) smelled like fruity pebbles. So I suppose next time, I need to cut each bud individually like so and allow them to dry on a rack, but with sugar leaves removed? The temp varied from 69 at night to 74 during day and humidity was relatively high. I'm very bummed out at the moment, having to start over.

One of the plants I took outside for a photo, around midway through flowering:Photo1181.jpg
