Low Rh

ok, so i am having some problems. my cab's humidity stays around 20% unless i have my humidifier running then it is around 35-40% can this 20% humidity hurt my plants? can it cause deficiency's? i have one small plant with good characteristics of over watering but i havent been, already made that mistake once. :spew:

i am seeing a zinc deficiency in some of my other plants and some of the edges of the top new leaves are a little curled up. i raised my light and started up the humidifier and will be back monday to see how they are doing.

so basically my question is can this low humidity be whats affecting my plants? gave them a good dose of some superthrive and jacks classic with a little epsom salt and molasses, then foliar fed a jacks classic and epsom salt mixture for complete nutes: macro, micro and trace

btw my journal with pics is in my sig

Right, this might be bullshit. But some one i know was recently at a hydro shop, and they asked the owner what curled up leaves signify.

He said some strains it might be a magnesium deficiency.
Other strains he has seen the leaves curl from the sides( he called it canoe'ing ), due to very low R.humidity, any rain which dropped on the leaves, is then (slightly ) trapped by the shape of the leaf.

Not sure if that is true or not. A lot of people say low humidity is not a bad thing, as long as the root zone has the correct moisture level.

well that is what they are doing, kind of a canoe effect. no real discoloration though. well ill keep the humidity up for now. see if that corrects it.
