if you want a nice compact sativa, get john sinclair's sativa trans love! it smokes better than C99. it has a "generic haze" buzz... euphoric and motivational, but not that psychoactive. the thing that makes it so special though is that it's naturally compact and buds like crazy as soon as you flip it! it was leaving EVERYTHING including my own C99bx in the dust as soon as i flipped it and even made a run at my autoflowering masterkushes for productivity, all the while putting energy into making seeds too. i topped it twice and got a nice little flat top of fruity haze buds faster than anything. DNAs sweet haze is fruitier and trippier and even stickier, but that one likes to stretch out. STL is what you want for a cabinet grow for sure! it didn't have any stone at all and is low odor too. i thought of cloning it a few times for quick bud under a shoplight while my other strains flower when i get back up and running this winter.
if you'd like a trippier "sativa" and don't mind a little stone, CH9's jack is pretty compact. it looks like an indica, but isn't skunky and is another candidate for "cash cropping sativa" i bought another bean of for further testing as sweet haze and jack's cleaner 2 were the quality stars in my last grow.
C99 can stretch a little. it's nothing like an IBL, but unless you're doing some low stress training in your cabinet, it might get too big for you. i flowered my joey weed C99s early and my taller pheno gals were under 3 feet tall. my STL wasn't much more than 1 foot tall with about 8 buds about 2 grams each in only about a month of flowering. i know it would have done even better had i not bred it with my JW's C99 x A11 male or taken my lowest fan leaves off SCROG style.
if you want something that smokes more like skunk #1 and blueberry, black label seeds' masterkush auto is very fast flowering with a stony, but functional euphoric buzz and reasonably low odor. i had 4 gals out in the open in my room and got by without needing a carbon scrubber.
sativa trans love is perfect for cabinet grows though or trying to shrink stretchy strains down without turning them stony. it had an odd trait with the freebie i tested that i could smell hints of silicone like old rubber worm lures early in flowering besides the hints of fruit. it faded and wasn't objectionable, just odd. if it wasn't the plant, there could have been some silicone in the allegedly organic soils i was using. you see all kinds of landfill crap in soils that are supposedly organic.
another nice thing about STL is that it's femmed. just let it vedge in your case, top it a couple times and when it gets as big as you want it to, flip it and it will virtually stop stretching immediately and start budding.
you can see that it has a compact growth habit in this early pic i took when i started flowering everything. if there's a better plant out there for cab growing and getting high, i'd like to know what it is myself. it had similar quality to most jack, thai and haze rivals, but it thinks it's a lowryder. it was every bit as nice smoking as the other 3 strains in that pic.

Sativas grow tall and the buds are sparse . I would either go with an autoflower strain or a short fast flowering indica. U might be able to find a short statued sativa autoflower, if indica is out of question. Sativas are to big to grow indoors period and that's part of why they hybridize stuff to shorten the flower time and height so it can be grow indoors but not in a pc and I wouldn't try that just yet. But what ever route you take good luck .

you can get a lot of sativa dominant hybrids though. the stuff that people have continued working to get better highs faster and smaller is not shabby. there's a lot of nice jack crosses out there that are no more stretchy than the early dutch indoor stony schwag strains.
yeah IBLs do stretch, but you can get pretty close to them with hybrids and as much as i hate getting stoned, a little CBD can actually improve a buzz by taking some of that IBL bite off so you're not all jumpy and twitchy. the warm fuzzy touchy feely euphoric but visual buzz of jack's cleaner 2, for example, stands on it's own as every bit as nice as real columbian gold to me. it's just a different buzz, still functional.
STL has virtually no stone to speak of. it's compact like a lowryder, but it's all about getting high and happy for sure. i'd call it a sativa myself. i don't use indica and sativa to describe genetic percentages myself, but the buzz. if you're stoned, you're in indica country, if you're high... sativa and the middle is mids.

I'll second the TransLove recommendation. I've grown it out twice, with a clone in flower now (it clones super easy too)- it produces 2+ oz of dense, frosty buds (in 3gal smartpot) with a high much like that described by hazey grapes- a nice happy high that makes a great daytime smoke. I usually top once and use a bit of lst and all three of mine have stayed under 2 ft. The buds get thick and heavy on the ends of all limbs. I've never tried to grow in a pc, but my space is height limited, so I use a 4ft tent. Works a treat!

did you notice a little bit of a silicone worm lure odor early in flowering too? that particular trait bugged me out.

imagine just how much better weed would be today if all of the original dutch strains used it instead of afghani. i REALLY wanna put my holy smokes' malawi gold up into one of my 5 pack of STLs. i imagine my STL X (C99 x A11) is at least decent and fast finishing too, but a stretchy trippy strain really can be size tamed with it.
i gave the other 2 afghani doms i got from JS away as i have no use for skunking in my room, but i bet they were quality too. it's a really nice high for such a compact plant. larger strains smoke the same way and taste the similar too. i imagine he did a lot of selecting to produce the strain.
i hope it catches on. cash croppers would be well advised to stop pushing old school "bag appeal" crap and start offering gear that gets their customers high... it will create a much greater demand and if they truly are greedy bastids, top dollar too. i could see myself spending up to $50 for 1/8th of STL on the street when i don't even like spending $30 on stoner bud.

i think you have to buy a 5 pack from attitude, but something like $50 for the strain is more than worth it. you'll get your investment right back in bud from just a single plant and it you clone it, you could get 5 full grows, or 5 grows without cloning. otherwise, you can just hold out and wait for another freebie which is unlikely. don't forget the 420 coupon code, it's 10-15% off on your order and if you place your order during the monthly newsletter, you can get another $50 worth of freebies.

again. i had a flat top not much bigger. maybe 2x the pic size out of "seattle" when i topped it a couple times SCROG style. there was some height variation, but BFD! it was nothing but bud in a small space and i had to cut the grow short at that as everything got hot spot burns the night i forgot to turn my fan on for a few hours.
STL isn't an IBL but it smokes most like one out of anything you're going to find at anywhere near it's size. if you don't make it work hard on making seeds too, i bet it yields even nicer. watch... if the OP tries it, they'll be reporting back how happy it made them.
yeah, if you want a real trippy high, you'll probably need to go to at least 2-3' or more tall with early flowering jack hybrids. seattle isn't shabby. it smokes as good as generic hazes i'm telling ya! it's nothing like the earliest stony autos. it's the best bud you can get in a small package. i want to use it to make something better, but it will be my go to strain for a quick shop light harvest from now on until i have head stash.
the first think i'll be growing is as many STL clones as i can fit under a shop light, 4-5 maybe, and harvest it early around a month after flowering while my bigger gear has the time it needs to do it's thing including knocking STL up. i already have some STL x (C99 x A11) beans and will be making some STL x malawi and later this winter probably some STL x sweet haze as i like that as a father in a fruity grow unless my 2x buddha's sister x G13 haze beans is a viable and a male as that's my rarest gear and i'm not likely to buy it again at $180. i bet all 3 crosses are nice in their own way. the cindy apollo cross should have really nice cash cropping potential and possibly hints of trippiness, the malawi would be some kind of nice haze i'd picture being better than amnesias even and any fruity cross with it is going to have some flavor. it would really tame sweet haze and malawi stretch.
it's not my favorite smoke, a bit too generic as far as hazes go, but it's the best afghani/lowryder sub in a breeding program ever. really, if anyone knows of a better high in a similarly compact & fast flowering strain, let me know! screw LSD too! it has a 2 hour long creeper KO stone and even early body thump behind it's generic haze high. it's not the lowest odor strain in the world either. i got hints of catpiss terpenes under my halide in early flowering

C99'omatic from Jahseed is a short auto hybrid. I haven't tried it or this breeder before but thinking of doing a veg tent grow with it.

I topped twice and vegged 6 weeks. Had 3 and 2 were females and clones very easy. Read where many others said they really get tall and they do.

i topped mine twice planning to scrog it and flipped in maybe 3 weeks of vedge, if that, and got a plant about 8 inches tall with a flat top of that many buds or more, so mine was really small. mine was making seeds too at that. i must have gotten a short pheno. it was one of the most compact plants in my grow.
3 weeks veg, 8 inches tall. HILARIOUS.

I would really very much like it if you could des.cribe in more detail how you grew this plant that vegged for 3 weeks and got a plant 8 inches tall. Also, for future reference, don't top your plants that early/small. Don't top plants that aren't in a really vigorous state of growth. It's traumatic, and they don't much care for it. These are not bonsai trees that live for 50+ years.
