Low-Wattage CFL Growers!

its a combine tottal of 150 watts so if you have a light that puts out just under 150 watts then your good. Its possible that you can have more then 1 grow going on but it has to be 1 with no more then 150 wattsso say you have 3 grow spaces you could use one of them for veg and clones the 2nd one for flowering and the 3rd one is where you could put the clones in veg then flower. With that one you might be able to have 1 of your lights in a small veg section that you could build for it that doesn't pass the 150 watt mark.

To me its a grow space that doesn't pass 150 watts in tottal. So if you have nother ones then thoes you don't count on here.

Edit - I had to re read it and its a grow that is under 150 watts in tottal and lights that are exacly 150 watts do not qualifiy.

I agree with johnnytsmitw, this group would have more people in it if it were a micro CFL grow thread
I want to be apart of it but I'm at 265watts!

you proibly could get away if you make 1 grow space that is just under 150 watts in all ;) That way you can still take part or should qualifiy. I think it should have been set at 200 watts that way I'd easly join

Damn, Im at 192w, If i pull out one of my 42w'ers i would be right at 150w.
Whooooa people. We never said it was below 150w total.... What we're proposing is that the individual bulbs you use are the low watt CFL types. For example: I'm using 5 x 30w (150w total) Daylight Bulbs to veg, and then 7 x 23w (161w total) Warm Whites to flower. We just dont use anything above 150w bulbs.

So to clarify, if you're using 42w, 65w, 80w or even 140w bulbs then feel free to add your piece. The idea is to see how we can best use our low wattage CFL's to get the best grow and yield possible, pooling our resources & tweaks for maximum impact & efficiency!

LimitLimit, Toolage57 & TalonToker you're welcome :)

Hey guys, can I participate in this? My biggest lights are 42 watt cfls, but I run nine of them. They are, however, spread out around three plants. Give me a thumbs up or I'll go away, head hung low and tail between my legs.
Its all good! Share the wealth ;)

OH SWEET!
Then, I'll be joining this group as I'm using a bunch of different watt CFL's that total more than 150 watts

for sure i switch up between 6 and 7 cfls and this makes me straddle the 150 total mark........ so yes , its less than 150watt cfls , not all together..... and join our page, the link is the 2nd 1 in my sig...........

I'd like to see a wide range of people give us their thoughts on how to maximise a low watt CFL grow, and what sort of yields they've got from their own setups!

dunno about my yeld Charmwah (yet) but first thing that comes to my mind is: reflectors :) (made of beer cans, or whatever) there should be one for each bulb that has one side that serves/points to nothing

I may be wrong but I woudn't go without them - I saw better yelds where there were good reflectors
c ya!! :)

I'd agree wholeheartedly with that, dont be wasting any of the light you have whatsoever. I've painted the inside of my cab matt white, with a matt white flat reflector so far, altho i've got some mylar in reserve should I need to tweak it at a later stage.

Even though it's technically a problem, it's still got to be a good feeling that you might have to move your plant because it's too big! Those are the kind of problems that I like!

For this thread, I thought I'd post some pics I took yesterday of my girlfriend. When I took these pics she had been flowering for 7 days. I love what having a few cfls on the side can do for bushiness.
