I plan on ordering some LR2 seeds in the next couple of days, and would like to know how your grow went. This will be my first, so any info will be appreciated.

Hey SweetSmoke, what medium are you using to grow? What strains of LR have you grown? Is it true that LR's prefer little to no nutes? I've been seeing a lot of that being said on the net. What's your opinion?

i have only grown lr2 and only this once they were grown in rockwool medium in 9" pots 250w hps i only give half recommended feed at peak times and only 1/4 when in veg,, the veg stage is so short its about 2-3 weeks then boom your off :) i also using a flowering bloom boost which sent them crazy. they looked like they were happy with that i did have leaf curl but i put that down to my grow environment not having sufficient ventilation!! i would def reccomend for a closet grow minimum effort, but 2 b honest not 2 impressive yield. also 1 plant grew to about 3ft and th3 others to at least 2ft so slightly bigger than advertised, but again i did have my lights far away from seedlings so may have stretched that way,, who knows ,,,who cares lol

What's the approx yield from each plant? Do you think a T5 lighting setup, which I have on the way, will be good? I'm just starting out, so I plan on perfecting the autoflower before I move on to more complicated things. My first grow, I think I will go without nutes, second grow, use nutes only during the flowering stage, my third grow, use nutes all the way through, all the while taking extensive notes on each grow. In the end, make my comparisons and determine which is the best method.

sweetsmoker did you leave them 18/6 whole way? I know they flower based on maturity but do you think they would do ok 12/12? I have one now that I thought died but came back and no where but flower room for it.

How about this, reefag, do a litttle reading on the lowryder plants before you ask me some dumbass question like that. As much reading as I've done on the lowryder plants, and as many questions as I've taken the time to ask on this site, I can say with much confidence that LR's prefer little to no nutrients. Don't jump out there with some disrespectful statements like that, cuz I didn't come you way with any.

Listen GReenBallsack i wasnt Takin tha piss all i was saying is do you really think its worth getting some Tiny yeild wen you can use Nutes and get a decent one Is it really worth tha risk i meen Imagine Police Bust into your House one day because somehow they know you growin and they find some Under Nuted Yellow lowryders youll still get the same time but would it be worth it NO. look at it how you want i think that i was giving you some CC. Constructive Criticism Get it

If that's all it was, cool. I may have mistook you as trying to come at me all crazy with that funny little statement about me being 13, and not able to afford nutes. The way you said what you had to say could've been said a lot differently, and I would've taken your statement alot differently. Anyhow, if you do some reading on the LR strain, you'll see they do better with little to no nutes. Read it on here plenty of times, and on other sites. If the general opinion amongst experienced growers is that they do better with no nutes, that's the way I'd suggest going. Do a little reading before you suggest that what I'm saying is counter productive is all I'm saying

Bandit is right, LR2 do NOT like nutes, especially if using a rich soil to grow. using Fox Farms I didn't need to apply nutes until flowering. Also, LR2 are by design a compact plant that won't grow above 24" in most cases, so to suggest his small yeild is a result of too little nutrients is wrong. Light intensity is the primary reason a grower suffers low yield anyway. None of us know enough about his set-up to say definitively, "Shoulda used nutes, woulda got more...". and REEFA, speaking of light: Put away that Halogen unless you like to grow burnt plants.

Thanks for the backup. It's good to know that I'm not the only one that does a little research and reading before shooting my mouth off! LOL My LR2 grow is FINALLY about to be underway. My girls mom had to come stay with us for the past couple of months, so I've just been waiting, biding my time, until I finally get to plant. She'll be gone in 2 weeks, and then, it's on!!
