lowryder/AK-47 leave color issue(PIX)

My plants have yellow and purple leaves..Some die and fall off after turnig very yellow..My buds look fine ,but i was wondering..im in week 9 and should only need another week b4 harvest,,Could this be the bud sucking the nutes out of the leaves being that its so close to harvest???..my 1st grow..

looks pretty close - it's normal to have the nutes to go from leaves to bud
might be a little too early for such yellowing - real strain dependent and i'm not familiar with ak47's needs
a tric check would be a good idea to see just how far the maturity has progressed

these r suppose to be done in 10 weeks from seed..week nine now..so i think ill flush and see what happends..all the hairs turned redish brown..just waitn on the thrichoms(they r creamie colored)..Just didnt know if the leaves were dien..sorta freaked after waitn this long..lol

u should have started flushing at week 8.

She's right on track, give a good flush and just water with plain water till you take her down. She looks like she's already flushing herself. When was the last time she had any nutes?

i dropped down to half to a quarter part nutes a week ago..guna flush with distiled water today and for the rest of there time n the bubble ponics..

so u all think the leaves(plants) r ok?

these plants r only about a foot and a half tall , actually one is ,the other is half a foot..(broke the tap root at seed)..but i bet i get a good Oz out of the bigger one..big ol buds.

Yep your leaves look like they are doing what they are supposed to be doing for the age she is. She is completing her life cycle naturally, even though you recently fed her. She knows when time is up, they all do actually. She has stopped using the nutrients you have given her because of the intrinsic knowledge she has.

All you need to do is work with her and just give water for about a week. But a few days before you harvest do not give any water just let the soil get good and dry. Chop her down at the base of the trunk right before the lights come on, so near the end of her last dark cycle,mmmmmmmmm perfect. Yep nice nuggies you've done well newbie

they r in a hydro/bubble system..should i still let the roots dry for a few days like u said(drain the water)..or not?

any drying hints..lol?

hang for a week then put in glass jars for a few more..iv read so many different ways im confused..

Wow man those look great. Im currently growing the same plants- 10 lowryder#2xAK47 under a 600 W HPS, and they are about in their 3-4th week of flowering. Question: have you trimmed any of the fan leaves at any time? Im thinking it will help the bud sites grow....dunno, this is my first grow of any kind. Here is the healthiest one and the only one that has started side branching!!

no, never trimmed at any time..heard it wasnt good to trim lowryders..however i have pulled off dead yellow leaves recently.

nope,no journal..i have a post awhile back with the baby pix..i had broken a tap root and i was freakin..so i signed up here....my little AK looks just like yours in your pic..but my big one has a bunch of baby arms..anywho

I'm not sure how that works for hydro. The reason we let the soil dry at the end is so when we cut the plant down the buds and stems aren't super wet when harvesting, which shortens drying time. I can only assume that if the plants roots have constant contact with water during the final few days just before you harvest that her buds will be fairly heavy with fluid. Perhaps a hydro grower is lurking around this thread and will have an experienced answer.

As far as hanging and drying goes there are a few ways of going about it. You have the basics down. After you put them in jars though you must burp the jar a few times a day and move the nugs around so no mold starts.
