Lowryder autoflowering cannabis

I am new to growing and in my search for a good compact outdoor strain to grow this summer I stumbled on lowryder auto flowering cannabis seeds. lowryder autoflowering cannabis seeds

They claim around thirty to forty grams in a grow cycle that takes only nine weeks from seed to harvest. This just sounds way too good to be true. Does anyone have experience with these strains?

I'm not sure you will get that much with an outdoor grow, but inside under ideal conditions, you could surely produce that quality.

I'm not so much mesmerized by the yield but by the fact that they claim there is no vegetative state. The site says the seeds grows for two weeks before flowering and then seven weeks later you harvest. Is that going to negatively impact the quality of the buds?

no it wont, impact the quality

but some plants you could only end up with an eighth they r only small and you cant really clone them due to as you mentioned they basically skip veg and go straight in to flower mode.

ive just planted one as they flower on even 24hrs light so there in veg with the rest of my plants now when the rest go in to flower i will add a red bulb and just hope for the best. it only sprouted yesterday

Yup they do exactly that..seedling to flower, with a very short veg approx 2wks veg, they show sex around 17days for males and 21days for females..
I grow LR2s regularly to fill out the grow space, and they grow very well..
for example i just harvested one of mine and it yielded just under 3oz wet...

They generally need a few more days flowering than the 60 days that joint dr suggests, i usually take mine out to around 75+days, to let the buds mature and the trichomes to be around 70% cloudy and 30% Amber, for a more couchlock style high.

Lots of people rag on LR's real bad, as being a waste of space in the grow chamber for a minimal buzz..
Ok so lowryder high isnt hella long, but it can be up there with alot of other strains..
I was very suprised with the effects off these lil dwarf autos...and they still knock me on my ass every now and then..
Theyre a great introduction to growing bud, theyre pretty hardy lil plants so long as you dont go crazy with the nutes, they dont like high fertiliser levels..
They respond well to molasses and get very frosty with trichs towards the end of flowering.
I never use pots bigger than 2-3L and they do just fine, approx 16-18" in full flower.

Obviously the better your growing environment the better the bud you'll get...
Get your grow area sorted and youll be on the path of good green.

Outdoor growing theyll do well too, so long as you choose the correct time to plant them and let them finish..You know what weather patterns you got coming in the next few months, if its gonna be fine ie no frosts and very low temps, or you live in an equatorial region you can get perpetual grows all year....also outdoors theyll take another month or so to finish..

If'n ya wanna see some of mine, check out my profile, and the LR threads i have contributed to , there should be some better LR info on there.

Thanks for the informative reply. I have one question though, when you say it produces a short lived buzz are you talking about short like less than an hour, or short like less than some way heavier strains? I know that highs are relative to individuals but I would hate to spend the cash to only be high for 45 minutes per bowl.

The THC in lowryder is not as much as other strains so the high wont last as long or get you as high...usually. It also depends on your tollerence and how much weed it takes to get you high. Generally you will need more of lowryder to get a similar effect though. Still, it also takes 10 weeks or less to get it, so thats a big plus.

Like MTb said, it depends on tolerance and dose etc..
If ya leave em to go 'over' their peak flowering time til the trichs turn amber, it will couchlock ya.
Its not a REAL short buzz, just a lil shoter than most..and it also depends on your choice of time to harvest..
The 'up' type buzz is maybe just over an hour...(mixed clear n cloudy trichs)
Mostly cloudy + a few amber trichs is a nice head and body hit..1.5hr
Mostly amber is how i pick em...I like the couch lock, and because its not incredibly long lived like other strains that i grow, so i can have some quality couch time, then get up and continue with whatever i gotta do...1.5-2hr

I like to look at lowryders as a 'sociable' smoke.. I smoke it if i go out, as i can be buzzed and still function very well.

The way i see it is If theyre grown right, there's no reason why LR2s shouldnt be a satisfactory smoke, even if ya might have to use a LIL more than you would regularly...They make a shitload of resin, theyre frickin covered in trichs and theyre done(to my liking) in around 75 days.
I get a rough Oz dry from my plants on a reg basis..

I'll be growing a few lowryders soon and I've got one question, the guy "eric van kampen" from white snowwhite.nl says he grows 1 meter tall lowryders and even taller. If we'd use a bigger pot like 5l's wouldn't it increase growth?
Another question, I will be growing 2 lowryder's under 3 85W powered spirals, in a box, I will be covering the insides with the backside of aluminum foil. Do you think this light is enough?
