How do you figure? Each batch will have a different amount of weight and only a specific gram total is shipped for testing. How could you calculate a specific $/gram amount with fluctuating metadata?
that's the ballpark cost for a test / 454 grams

so a 1/4 lb would cost $2/g to test, a 1/2 lb would cost $1/g, 2 lbs would cost 25 cents/g etc etc

hard to have BM weed tested by a reputable lab. They are technically not allowed to test it ...

We are in the process of purchasing a GC among other things. We have hired a part-time lab tech as our QA to conduct on site tests of our products. it will end up costing us roughly 20 cents/gram...

remember. you are fighting for a recreation sales market using the guise of helping sick people who require MMJ standards...
neither one can hold up the other.
This shit doesn't fly...
You should be arguing to the feds about your testing practices!! Not here yappin about them to patients!.

Not really sure what you mean. We only supply medical patients. If a person says its for medical use and uses it recreationally thats on them we cant regulate that...Rec or medical, if tested product vs untested is available the tested product will be chosen EVERY time... Don't get your panties in a bunch because we want to go above and beyond your backyard grown med standards... One of my biggest reasons on a personal level for pushing for a GC and tech is to be able to show that cannabis grown outside of Health Canada's system is safe.

I only made that post, not to yap to patients but to simply state what our costs and why i am aware of them... since it was being debated...

Would you offer a testing service to anyone?

Yah, baby - nothin' screams 'QA' like a part time lab tech! Cuttin' edge, baby! Spare no expense!

Also, reputable labs certainly can technically test BM weed, that is what all their whizz-bang machinery is...technically...for. They just can't legally test it unless it comes through the proper channels.

you say you grow it for medical use. but you want rec.
my panties are not knotted but yours seem to be when shown the error in your ways.
I have said all along that LP's will fight for the same rights D's have now?? :) and use the exact guise that's being used here.
Once again. Rec and Med are not the same. Ill let you figure the easy part out.

I think the argument is that people have done just fine growing and smoking untested weed for thousands of years, and any testing of rec weed is pointless. I tend to agree, but testing is required for virtually every product sold in Canada. Unless I was suffering from a life threatening illness that could be worsened by mold or something, I don't need my smoke tested at .20/g.

It's going to end up legal in every state and still illegal federally.

I'm not sure why provinces couldn't legalize. Maybe because our government has a different structure?

With the advanced help that's available here and places like this..I was able to grow a "decent crop my very first time....
and had fire meds by the end of my third crop...and not one day at horticultural school.....(though 1 of my kids has graduated university for mirco biology/gentetics...so maybe I was a natural...lol)
All contaminant free/ clean....even the leaf was usable for eating....
So, I would say Mr Tousaw was correct.
