So after action report:
I ended up taking a bike! It was like 95 outside, so I didn't want anything strapped to my feet!
WOW I haven't ridden my bike in like a year and a half at least. I ride a motorcycle, and I just repaired my bicycle.
The first 10 minutes was nuts... I was riding along, tripping nuts, not even mentally processing that I was moving... I was doing like 25 mph down the sidewalk, basically thinking I was stopped!
... Then I flew down the hill and almost ate it but it was cool, I recovered it and TUNED my mind for the experience!
Riding next to the street, with cars whizzing past at 60mph, while the melting FACE on my bike mere feet away from the cars..... intimidating to say the least!
After the first 10 minutes it was bliss...
Thankfully the rest of the trail is completely away from the road, around some golf courses and into a park!
We got lost a few times, and found ourselves... GPS is AMAZING on L. Lifesaver. Showed us exactly where we were, where we were pointing, AND even gave us turn by turn bicycle directions!
Folks, be sure to get your phone on GOOGLE MAPS, and select "BICYCLE" as mode of transportation, and plot your route! GPS directs you through all the paths and around all the roads... GREAT great great tool when tripping balls way OUT THERE.
I think my days of NON-BICYCLE tripping are over!
Wheels are a godsend on acid!
