LST concerns

Ok so i just started LST. but i am somewhat concerned. my plant was a little tall and when i bent her over, the stem seemed to bend to easy. I thought that it was strong enough but I am now somwhat worried. I watched a video and the guy was bending it around but i feel like mine is to fragile. Any thoughts??

BTW This is my first grow about 3 weeks old i think. I have 4 24 watt cfl's.

the stems can take a lot of abuse. You can even supercrop them, where you bend the stem 90 degrees the stem will strengthen at the bend.

OK so you think i should be fine? that kinda sounds like what happened. maybe i am just an over-concerned parent

At three weeks? Yes, she'll definitely be fine. One suggestion from me is to not start too early or bend too closely to the soil, you are going to want room to work as she matures. I like to let them grow a couple of inches straight up from the soil before the bend. Otherwise you can end up with bud sites forming right next to the soil, and that's a pain in the ass.

thanks for putting my concerns to rest. i'll update in a couple days when i know for sure she is responding well. thanks again for the response

Just you watch, by tomorrow that growing tip that you bent sideways will have its little head turned up towards the light. They do it every time.

ok so here's an update, its been two days and she hasn't started to branch but she is def. lookin fine, head curled back up to the light very nicely. i lowered my lights closer because she was a little stretched and i can already see a significant improvement as she is bushier.

lookin good but unfortunately i have to "destroy" it because to many "friends" (AKA friends i don't nec. trust) know about her. Don't worry, by destroy i mean that to the "friends" that know... it is destroyed, but in reality i will just mover her to a better location, from fear of getting jacked or busted. I'll keep yall posted
