LST my fisherman method.

LST easy way no tying and retying! I was a commercial fisherman and use this fishy method for LSTing my gals. I use a large fish hook and simply loop it over the branch and on the other end a lead fishing weight heavy enough to get it done. Use a slip knot on the weight end and very easy and quick to adjust. Works great in tight spaces.

I do something very similar with just different sizes of S hooks!

What about the lead, on a plant, you're gonna smoke?

good idea, correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think the hooks have lead in them (the weight does though but that's not touching the plant from how he described).
here is another easy way that i use:
take a short piece of string, tie a loose loop around the stem you want to train then duck tape the other end to the side of the pot (helps if you tie a small knot to sit under the duct tape to help it from slipping)
.to adjust just gently peel the tape and re-stick.

paperclips and washers work. unfold the paperclip so it looks like an S...hook one end over the stem you're tying down, and hang a few washers on the other end. the beauty in this is that the unfolded paperclips ends are one small and one large "hook" making it easy to pick a side that fits the stem better, you can also open the end wider for thicker stems. the beauty is the literally just hang there... my lil girls look like christmas trees with ornaments and all

and no b.s. when i move them they sound like wind chimes haha
