Lsting in a computer case?

I am wondering if I could get a worth while yield if I tried lsting inside a stealth computer case. Just gathering ideas for future grows.

Anyone ever done it?


If it helps the case is around 16.5" tall, 8" wide, 16" long.

My lighting would be something along the lines of:
- Two 42 watt CFLs (2700 lumen output each, 150w equiv.)
- One 25 watt (estimate) CFL
- Fluro tube that I found (around 12" long, not sure on wattage)
- I will probably add in a 1-3 more lights that would add up to around 50-100 watts, not equivalent watts) Or depending on how much more everyone says I need. (Input anyone? lol)

Yea I understand that. I dunno lets set the bar high and say could I get 1/3 of the average yield? I am not even sure what average is really, 80-100g? 4 ounces? Not exactly sure...

Well seeming how I could probably not fit a HPS in there I would do something like:

Would that be decent?

well theres no sure way to tell every plant is different every grow situation is different and most important every grower is different maybe youll get 4 ounces maybe youll get one ounce hey maybe youll get bud rot who knows. but if you do yield itll definatley be more that an 8th and well thats worth it to me but i grow mainly that i love the plant in all stages not just a bud so merely growing is worthwhile to me.

you should jump over to the cfl forum, those guys are in thier own world and dont understand plant potential and hid systems. just warning you they're closed minded assholes

lol, ooookay. I cant really fit an HID in a computer case hence, CFLs bongsmilie

Like I have said several times. I cannot cram an HPS in there for one. If I could fit it it would be way to close to the plants, and chances are it would be INCREDIBLY hot even with fans. So CFLs are the way to go. Cant really beat it for stealth. I will probably give it a try, why not.
