Stelthy why are you posting so many pics in this thread? I don't think that the OP would appreciate it, this thread is about 600w of LED vs. 600w of HPS not just any old LED setup
If you want to get more views in your thread than just bump it up, don't go hijacking peoples threads
I was gonna say somethin til I saw you did...

I would much rather see the OP's posts than some inefficient random grow....

things are looking close between the two.

this is a great thread tho. Ive only grown with t5's for veg and hps for flower but I never knew that you could change the color of the diodes with led's. Ive learned so much from this thread, keep it up bongsmilie

You dont change the color, there are different color LEDS in the grow light and
you can just turn down the blue, or turn down the red diodes, making the other
spectrum bulb stand out more.

the LumiGrow ES uses 5w american made diodes. they consist of red/white/blue. good old amercian, hehehe. there are 2 dials to control the spectrums, one blue knob, one knob for red/white. you can totally control the spectrum to your specification. there is another person at CC forums who is starting out with just blue, then slowly increasing the red/white as he gets further into testing. they can produce some pretty impressive buds, i get envious everytime they update. once these tests are through, i will be able to really have some fun with these LEDs. can it get any better than this though? im having a blast, hehehe.

Any chance you know which American company is making the diodes? It'd be nice to do some digging on them to see how Lumigrow is comparing on a spec basis to other LED fixture manufactureres.

Edit: Lumigrow doesn't list on their site who is making the diodes.

I wouldn't expect them to tell you where they got their diodes either. I've seen some things throughout the net on how to make your own LED lights, I suppose anyone could make them if they could simply buy the {right} diodes/illuminators from the source directly. The price on LED's is still ridiculous. We all know that price drops in time on like everything but drugs and prostitution, but with the "Next Generation" LED's coming out every 3 to 6 months, it's like televisions today. How quickly can we make them better to jack the price & make the consumer start all over? Cali.....What generation are your new LED's? 3rd Gen? Certainly not cheap, although obviously cheaper to run especially considering you don't need as much coolers in your room, not to mention the wattage consumption. I just got a new 600 watt digi & it pains me to do it, because I really wanna go LED's, it's just that unknown..... "Will there be a bigger, better, cheaper model next week?"

Looking nice calibuddz
Is there anyway you could do a side by side shot with both the LED and HPS plants in the same pics?
That is the best way to tell the difference in growth imho

3 WEEK FLOWER UPDATE........

things are really starting to pick up. at first, the HPS was developing at a much quicker rate, but once i dialed down the blue on the LEDs, flower growth started to catch up. its just about neck and neck. every day the LED plants look just as developed as the HPS. lets have some pics.......
