LUX Meter

Anybody know if this meter will work with LED lighting? I've been reading contradictory reports on LUX meters being accurate with LED. I don't need anything fancy. Just an accurate LUX reading.

It will give you a general idea and will be very precise, but not geared toward photosynthesis so cannot be used to compare light sources of different color temps.

Do you recommend one that is geared towards photosynthesis? I'd like to compare it against the cheaper version to see what the differences are. Thanks

They are selling for 335 on ebay, but keep in mind they are mostly blind to deep red wavelengths and there is a significant deep red output in warm white COBs, especially 3K Vero.

I bought just the electric sensor for $155 and use my multimeter,you can really dial in your distance from the plant quickly and think it was well worth the money.

They are not blind...just have to rely on educated guessing for certain parts.

I have tested a few spectrums , 3K cobs being one of them, with a li-core and apogee(calibrated on AT spectrum), and a standard apogee. All are very close to each other...within 3-5% even on deep red heavy spectrums.

This is what I mean by blind to deep red, both of the spec sheets show almost no response above 650nm. They admit that adjustments need to be made for electric light sources.
