Mag def?

Hi guys

what do you guys say about my girl? It looks like mag def to me, but I feed her two times per 10 days, so it feels strange that she don’t have the nutes?

she’s about 4 weeks in to flower

so yesterday I flushed her to remove any salt buildup, should I wait a couple of days to see, or should I give some epsom salt?

Only one of the fan leaves had some brown spots, otherwise no spots on the other leaves

Peace ✌

Looks hungry.. what size pots? If it’s week 4 flower that’s when it starts to bulk up you need to make sure it has enough nutes

Could be mag def. I would say mag def as long as you know you’ve been giving them enough phosphorus. If you only add a tsp of mag sulphate(bathsalt) per gallon the ppm of your solution would still be low enough to help flush out excess salts. It’s kinda of hard to have too much magnesium unless you dump a truck load in there. But if you do happen to put way too much, your weed could make sparks because of the toxic levels of magnesium.

It does look like a magnesium deficiency to me too, and they do look hungry. Might need to bump it up a little.

You could try spraying them with Epsom at lights off. Should green up quickly that way.

Are you in soil??

Looks good though and stacking up nicely.

Thanks, so then it Won’t hurt to add some mag sulphate I guess? is this a one time thing or should I add some small amount every time I feed her?:?::dunce:

I pretty sure in soil you do not need It every time. I’d try every other watering; if your still getting signs of def. then maybe add bit more. When I use coco I add it every time I feed. In soil I add it ever 2-3 waterings, and havent seen any mag def in years.

Looks hungry.
I wouldn’t say it’s mag it’s more likely nitrogen because it’s hungry.

Do you also use Calmag?

I use RO water, and when I grew in soil I always added Epsom at about 0.5 teaspoons per gallon, along with calmag at about 2 ml per gallon.

I recently switched to coco and didn't use any Epsom, and did run into deficiencies. I was thinking the calmag was enough, and I did use extra in the beginning, but maybe I need to keep adding the Epsom...

I used to… I still have a third of 2.5 gal. mostly use it on my backyard tomatoes now. The thing about calmag, is your plant doesn’t always needs extra cal when it needs mag. Plus sometimes too much cal will mess with magnesium availability. Plus if we’re talking about the same calmag, you don’t always need the extra nitrogen either If your plant only needs the mag. I find myself using mostly bath salts these days because of how cheap and readily available it is. Plus you’re not paying for all that water. Youre just getting concentrated magnesium.

i used to add 1 tsp per gallon of nutrient solution. Hope this helps.

edit: the amount you add will depend on how much your base nutes have, if it has any at all.
