You could call it that, but this is from medical bud.

I looked at it with my magnifying glass and I saw crystals.
I have a feeling this is a good seed, but like you said I won't know for awhile.

purple or red stems often means stress. check your ph.
Hoping this is the not so often case and it's not stress. I'll have a tester by the end of the week. Small budget sucks ass but we all get by. My other plant is doing just fine.
The water I use has been set out for at least 24hrs minimum and I've done a low but decent amount of nutes.

ya hes right, usually that means stress.. some say its just genetics.. im sure if shes looking healthy, she probably is.. ive also herd stems turn that from over watering.. so just take it ez like ur doing with the nutes (i wouldnt be using miracle grow nutes, but long as u take it light on them im sure itll b fine, ur on a budget so may aswell use it up). Im wondering what kind of soil your using tho, this is important if your feeding.

Red or purple stems can be a sign of stress and nutrient deficiencys but if the plant is healthy then chances are its just the colour of the strain and will always grow like that, as to which strain it might be that is impossible to tell

Noted Jonny. I'm more or less looking for a variety of strains that have those characteristics. But I will watch it closely and see how it goes from there!

Might be stress. I had blueberry wreck. Solid magenta colored stalks. Healthy and budded great. They were clones. Saw the mothers and theybwere 12 ft tall with the same color.

I have several strains I grow on the regular, and some will show purplrish stems/stalks, and others will not... It's more often genetics than stress or nute def's... I've seen entire plants that r this color, leaves incl, and it wasn't due to cold weather, or stress... It's a fairly common pheno, and doesn't necessarily mean ab=nything, good or bad... I've seen some really awesome weed with purple stems, that had no def's or stress, and stayed that way throughout their life, and it was awesome, and I've seen it happen because of def's or stress, and it will usually look sickly in other ways too if it is due to stress or a nute def, or overdose... Those look fine to me... Just grow em on out and see what happens... U may have a truely awesome genetic line there...

I really appreciate the input, GanjaGod, I was kind of irritated with everyone jumping to the conclusion my plants have strees or nute defs. Seeing as how it's growing nicely I was assuming I could or might have a pretty decent strain. I'm hoping to get a bigger light today or tomorrow and within the next week or so get the rest for my closet. but you can find this information on my first grow in my sig.
Thanks man +repped you

stress
phosphorous deficiency
cold
heavy stretch
genetics
all of these things can cause purpling of the stem
if your buds are swelling, don't sweat it over much

It's not just the stem it's the branches as well.
It's on its 16th day, but it's looking great. I was actually just trying to compile a list of strains with such trait. This is a medical bagseed find.

Thanks Ganja, I haven't really done much to it. Just water and liquid plant food. I did get a higher kelvin bulb while it's vegging. Waiting to get more funds but for now it's very happy. Sex is unknown, but it smells a lot (it's not my monster sativa I know for sure) and the leaves have been sticky ever since it was a week old. I'm really hoping its female but I won't know for a week or two.

Time to burn one down!:blsmoke:
