What do you guys do with those things? are they a fern?
Yes they are baby ostrich ferns.
We boil (or steam) ours and eat them with meted butter and balsamic vinegar. My wife also make dillyheads (like dillybeans).

She made this meal last night. The venison was shot and tagged last fall. $1 box of rice pilaf and $0.50 onion for the venison. She cooked 1.5 lbs (of the 8 lbs we collected in 1.5hrs) of fiddleheads. Fed 4 people all easy.

is that a blower? same way, I clean mine picked 300 lb this year ,little hobby of mine,ic people trying to clean with water I laugh:bigjoint:u must be north of me all done around me
The fan trick works great for cleaning. (Same fan we use in our greenhouse)
We are up by the ski resorts. So they just started coming up a week ago.

make,s since me just south of Fryeburg,that meal looks yummy.

That's how I would love to grow here if only it was legal here.I think next year I will grow 4 plants in my yard here in a green house for if I get cought with ONLEY 4 it is a mister meaner here but 5 is time in the pockey and I been there befor and its not to fun..ky
5 or under in maine is a fine if they even bother ya:bigjoint:

Feels like it's going to rip our house off its foundation or atleast take our roof.

Guess it's better then 3 inches of snow, like Caribou.
Well atleast until the house collapses.
u still there,lol getting33-40 wind over my way, still have not opened green house wait till tomowrow when sun is out good luck

We made it through. Greenhouse is still standing and so is the cold frame.
I haven't checked this morning but last night the plants were still alive.

Friends of ours,up the road, lost their greenhouse. Flipped end over end.
